We just closed today on our resale! It really did not seem real till the deed showed up on OCC site. It will probably be two weeks till the points show up and we have our member number, but dog gone I am stoked!

I called my Disney friends and we have been talking for the last half hour...... Apparently I have three trips already on deck in my mind. The excitement will fade, but it sure is fun right now...,...

Ready for that "Welcome Home" sign at BLT to be talking to me. Thank you to all who post here and give noobies the info they need to make good decisions.... Even though the same question has been asked a gazillion times! The patience is admirable.

Congratulations!!!! I landed the perfect contract for me just today.. !!! I"m also very happy.. can't wait. even though this is an add-on.. i'm still so excited.. omg! addonitis struck so bad.. ! Now its on Disney's table...for ROFR!!

Congratulations, and welcome home! You know, despite the futuristic design of BLT, they don't have any talking Welcome Home signs! There's just that trash can in Tomorrowland. Of course, when we were there in July, there were about a dozen CM's in the lobby handing out plenty of Welcome Homes!

Enjoy your membership.....I know that we have for the past 5 years!!

I know exactly how you feel. Mom and I are ready to go now and we don't even have our member number yet. Unfortunately we won't be using DVC for our December trip, but so excited to use them for our May trip especially if we can get into BLT. BLT is the only resort we haven't stayed at yet (except for VGF) and it would be great to check it off the list.

I called MS just for grins to see if they did have me in the system yesterday and see if they could give me an idea of when I would get member number .....the CM I talked to was Disney Nice.....even when he asked if this was resale.......he tried to help me and I thought I was on track to getting an idea of when I could make a reservation. He bounced me over to MA to see....

I had a little issue a few months back with mail not getting sorted right and found a bill stuffed up inside one of those ridiculous direct mail advertisements.... ever since then I have been a little leery of real mail.....I am also certain that a letter got recycled for same reason. Anyhow, I wanted to see if MA could give me a time frame ...

I was not trying to work around waiting on the number, juts wanted to know when........and ask if I could get confirmation it was sent so it did not get lost. NOT HELPFUL, NOT RUDE but toeing that line......SIGH! I really think the CM in MA did not understand the nature of my inquiry and even said, "I don't understand what your asking!" After ten minuets of awkward dialog, she gave me the helpful nugget of info that she could not give me a time frame until she knew when the contract was sent to Disney....which was different than closing, or so she said..........

Still holding out hope for a SSR Christmas reservation......

Ours didn't hit for two weeks... but ours was technically an add on.

I SO sympathize. All I can think about is Food & Wine, and I've never been and we don't plan to go next year!

I am so geeked out about this all--we are scheduled for Feb and I have no idea how we're going to make it that far

I want to basically go to everything, now. Food & Wine, Star Wars Weekend, Very Merry Christmas, Not so Scary Halloween...Flower & Garden....our kids are only 1, so we have plenty of vacations to anticipate but I want to do them NOW! I keep thinking "maybe we should just go down for a few nights over Christmas..." LE SIGH!

It doesn't help that I keep listening to podcasts and reading reviews.

I have to respectfully disagree. We are currently planning DVC trips 7 and 8, and this is after about 9 straight years of Disney before DVC, and the excitement has not faded. If anything, it has gotten worse. Congrats and enjoy! Hopefully you will get your member info soon.

When we did the Disney Dream this summer, we spent a few days in Orlando prior with friends. They carried us over to BLT to watch the fireworks. They have Fla AP and are DVC members. Once Wishes was over, I was SOOOOOOO bummed. As we were walking out the back to go look at the pool, I made up my mind that I was buying into DVC this time.....flirted with it back in 2010...not this time I AM DOING IT!

Each hurdle has been agonizing......wait for response to offer, wait for closing docs, wait for sellers docs, wait for ROFR, wait for transfer, WAIT FOR MEMBER NUMBER.....

Thanks for that sentiment.....it is encouraging. The biggest reason we decided to jump in this time was the let down of leaving the last two visits. KNOWING we would go back and do it soon, helps. We had bad withdrawal when we departed in 2010.....almost like we could never go back. Things changed financially for us with a new job and going back and DVC made sense this time.

So here's to waiting for the next time we get welcomed back home.....
