Ready to Close and Nervous_ Help!

Any thought on this- We are ready to close on SSR resale through GMAC International Properties. They have been fine though it took longer then expected - they never told me when Diseny passed on their option to buy back and it sat in their office for two weeks until I called and said what is going on and then said sorry we messed up... Other then that fine - now I am suppose to sign the closing documents and transfer money to the Title company Timeshare Titles and More LLC. I am just nervous now as we live in New England and doing this all over the phone is making me nervous- You hear about deals where you transfer the money and never hear from anyone again and TTM LLC has a very poor website which makes me more nervous that they could be a fly by night operation- Anyone know them or have used them or GMAC International properties before- Please let me know Thanks!

GMAC has a so/so reputation on these boards- but it is mostly just customer service oriented complaints, higher fees... I have never heard anyone complain or insinuate fraud on their part. I am not sure what ttm llc is though- is that the closing company?- can you elaborate- GMAC has a pretty good website.

We just closed about 2 months ago using GMAC and Timeshare Title & More. Everything went fine. I was nervous just like yourselves but everthing was on the up and up. Mind you, our transaction went through Jaki and ****. They were great. We received our blue membership cards a couple weeks ago and already have our first trip Home booked for January.

Timeshare Title and More LLC is the title company- I have found more about them and it does look okay but if anyone has opinions let me know- I wish I found this board before - next year we plan to buy more points and will definately go to the Timeshare Store which seems to have a better rep

If it makes you feel better, GMAC has a business relationship with Disney and probably seels more DVC until than any other company.

I closed on 2 SSR contracts last year with GMAC and will be closing very soon on a VB contract. I haven't encountered any problems with them personally and would use them again.

I agree with the OP that the root of most complaints seems to be related to communication. Sit back, relax and most importantly...WELCOME HOME, NEIGHBOR!!!

I'm not the op but I can answer the same question from my own experience. I am looking for a resale and I am willing to work with a number of different resellers, Timeshare Store being at the top of the list, but it really comes down to who has the contract I want when I am ready to buy. As it turns out, GMAC is the one that I will probably end up using.

I didn't buy through GMAC, but Timeshare Title and More LLC was the title company that my reseller used. Everything went perfect. Good luck!

To answer your question I did not go with Timeshare Store because I did not find them until I came here in March and we put an offer that was accepted to GMAC in February. We need more points as we did not buy as many as we wanted because we did not want to borrow and we bought what we could afford. When we add next year we will go with Timeshare and ask Jason who I have heard great things about to help us find a good match to what we already have. Thanks
