Anyone else read it or currently reading it? I finally got my hands on one and can't seem to put it down. Who would have thought a government authored book would keep my interest. I've learned a lot that you would never read in a newspaper or magazine article. Any thoughts for those how have read it?

Where did you get 'your hands on' one?

Their available at nearly any bookstore and on audiobook online. Anyone can get one.

They sell them. I saw one at Costco and I'm sure most bookstores sell it. It's a very large book. It must be interesting.

I saw copies for sale at our local Stop and Shop yesterday. Not sure what the price was........ I was tempted to get one. Maybe next time I go shopping.

Not quite true in this area. I've been to 4 different books stores in my town and all were sold out. Had to place on on order at our Barnes & Noble for the next shipment, it took 5 days to get the next shipment in. Even when I went to Louisville, KY (population over a million) this weekend, I went to 3 major bookstores and couldn't find the book either. Seems they are selling out like crazy.

I got mine at Costco and finally opened it last night. It's written in a very "readable" manner - I was expecting legal jargon and political wordiness. I think I'll be finishing this one! (I sure can see this as a textbook for certain high school or college classes in the very near future.)

I saw it at Waldenbook, but didn't have time to look at it. Can you briefly tell what it is about? (I know it's about 9/11, I mean briefly describe the behind the scene's.)

I am about halfway done with it. You are right, it is an interesting read. I find myself reading the notes as much as the main text.

The book is the Official Report by the 9/11 Commission that is submitted to Congress and the President. It's an interesting read and is full of details and facts that the media hasn't reported much on.

Thanks for the link Doug123.

I was sobbing as I read the Horror and Heros chapter.

I read the first chapter on the 9/11 comission website. I plan to read the whole thing. It almost reads like a Tom Clancy novel in the way it flows so smoothly. I also expected a lot of "legalese". I kept having to remind myself that it wasn't fiction.
