Sher's trip report?
What pic was there?

It has been great without out homework but I have to get into the habit of not having it. Quite the transition.

We are going to do a trip report. I think. Eventually.
After the holidays calm down for us.

Yep, Pongo - Very cute pic of you and the mister with the Sheridacs. Tambu Lounge, I think. There were pineapple drinks on the table!

Thanks for the reminder, Nab. I hadn't visited there for a few days.

Let us know how yummy your pumpkin cake turned out, Marita! I'm calling it a night because I stayed up way too late last night.

hello and good night to all. Have not read the thread and I am going to bed. HEY! I'm a poet and don't know it! LOL

Spent about 15 hours working today. But it is the busy season is it not! Hope everyone is well!

Blessings!

so minnie m. , i always wonder mo-mo, they got the "rum" taste in eggnog..

you pic clear things up.. :artist: here's a secret..your pic opened my
sleepy eyes in the morning..

my christmas wish? e'm mom and alot the orginators drop in
more often...haven't read mp 's trippe..but know a lil about boys bustin
out teeth, hoping they back and runing around...what are the boys wantin
this year..a pony? did you see that special on minature cows..cute!
esp...under the tree?

on another site someone mentioned finding frogs..you guys been wandering
again? "frogs on their christmas tree....talk about homemade decorations.

pongo & sheridac..how they stop bouncing long enough for a picture?

[ it isn't green enough without sheri..even kermit looks yellow over at
mgm...hemp me! :sad1:

...and our hope our special tink..is doing ok, she sure been thru some
tough times...

let's see..nabby? are you on the magic?...jumping ships again? or is
it me? one thingy we did was asked the head server...so we could
take a pic...in front of the big screen in animator's p. ..when the showed
peter pan characters...you should do with your kids favorite. :wizard:
* on pirate's night....our head server/simone, put his fancy pirate hat on jordan...and we got a cute pic...see? why pack..when you can borrow..
take your lil princess: dresses.."touch bases with different crew ..for
--freebies...every night, jordan poses with the towel creations.

* remember nabby, i wouldn't be worth a :moped: without my lil miss..
if you ever meet her , you "see' why...hey, does canada has any of
those minature cows?

minie moo , i see you took the gang for a ride...cute! wait...is that
topless? was utah m. ducking?

pongo..where did you get those mugs...my kids would like them..
esp. the ghost one...

ok..ladies..i think i know why you all don't like sports...as much
as the guys...{ i did the math}...you only get points for your scores..now
if we changed that to something a lil more tangible... :p chocolate covered
kisses..you be more interested? now waht could we make winning the
trophy be ? :rolleyes1 ...well at least there be more girl scorekeepers?

on the other side..there reason i stated some serious stuff, lady
friends.."what i call you all"...have you seen those commercials over
autism?...is that true?!..166/1..that is unacceptable..and its sad..how
we value some things in society and miss really important things.
we don't do health care right..and eventually we will pay for this.
i am of the strongest opinion that we should always be seeking
improvments..and maybe i shouldn't express this but knowledge/
grade in school is not a good predicator for someone taking care of
human life.. seen some very uncaring/dangerous individuals hiding
behind dipolmas...for xample.... we had a labor/delivery person that
really..didn't know what she was doing...& it almost cost us...but
who knows how many else ?

and where's common sense??? like, why do an expensive test..when
the dr. on call, had no idea how to read it????think about it!! if that above
is true..something is very wrong in our ob care system...then there are
those inside the health profession, all they want is money...and worst..they
don't give but take advantage.. of those in need...did i ever mentioned, i
despised poltics..

obvious, something damaging babies' abilites processing..cns,brain--
everything/anything having a potential effect..labor techniques?
meds, and prenatal care...somewhere, we allowed something damaging
infant development? cos i can remember when autism was so rare, we
didn't even know what it meant?...listen? it time we start look at
where we are going wrong....why? cos it could very well effect my
grandchilden...& yours.

another concern...rx drugs especially narcotics...so sorry to lecture,
but it's sad to see a mother give up her children, and so many others,
give up on everything good in life...and will do others harm, just to
get these little white pills. we need better restrictions...

as consumers...we should expect/demand better from those who
are in authority positions. there should be improve monitoring.
instead of covering up..we need mandatory jail times...for drs
and nurses...if you saw the damage and the dangers..like autuism
1 to /166....is alarming as it is sad. if true, then they got that right!

p.s..there is a story that goes with this..but my message is support
awarness. thanks for listening. [ & i hope i wasn't too heavy]

MSO

I was right Hannah is still is hot as a firecracker. She hasn't moved from her bed yet. I gave her more Mortrin at 4:00 this morning. She was hot and crying saying she had a real bad dream. Poor thing this is holding on.

Sorry I didn't say goodnight last night but had to get to bed. Glad you found the picture of Pongo Moo.

Hope Steph is still feeling well and is traveling safe.

Haley and Moo hope your family make it home safe for the holidays too. I can't imagine being away from my kids. But I do know they have to grow up and move away. I tell hubby they are not moving away far and he just rolls his eyes at me.

Well off to make cookies, don't know if I should with Hannah still being sick but I am running out of time.

Hope everyone has a great day and non sick day......

I'm going  on of my group members in my MBA class totally dropped the ball and the left the rest of us hanging with the project due on Wed. I am so :furious: at this point.

Work is crazy. School is crazy. I feel like I'm drowning :faint:

Sorry for the downer post :guilty:

Howdy Vikings,

No more keyboard licking! Enough already!

Yep, Wesley's down again. This time, with a severe ear infection. Ah, well, it could be worse. He'll be all better by this time tomorrow (I hope). But parts of the weekend were pretty miserable for the little guy.

One week left, I should probably check my list to see what I haven't done yet. First, though, I have to get through work this week. I'll still be scarce for a while!!

Hope everyone feels better soon!

Rhonda :)

Most severe of drive-bys! Hope everyone is doing well (and getting over whatever sickness is abounding in your neighborhood . . .)

If I don't get back before ~ Have a magical Christmas!

Well I thought I was finally caught up with life and would have some time to play... and then Max Zzubed on the way home from his Boy Scout camp out. Now his asthma is really bad and he has a temp. Carp. I guess I will run around seeing Doctors tomorrow. Joy of joys.

I have a feeling that once Ryan is here (Tuesday night) I will be busy catching up with him too. So I guess my original estimate of sometime in January still stands. :rotfl:

Hi Erin! Good to see you!

Hi Homie. My absolute failure at dieting should make you feel better. I finally made it to the 5lb mark, but was too busy to stop in and change my siggie, since then I gained back some. So now I need to lose it again. But really I will be happy if I just tread water this month. Being sick killed my exercise routine. Waaa waaa waaa. I am going to fit in some sort of exercise on Monday, even if it is just a walk.

Double Carp- I lost my connection and couldn't post this last night.

That's good you wrote that last line Haley because I was thinking today is Monday isn't. I feel for you little boy. Hannah to has a high fever too. I don't know what is going on this year. I am trying hard to get my flu shot while I am still good. Doctor isn't answer that dang phone.

Minnie-- I think you need this.Do you get much time off for Christmas. My sister is always on dead lines and works so much overtime and doesn't get paid for it because she is management. Hope all goes well and you don't stress to much before the holiday.

Rhonda-- Sorry to hear about Wesley. He has had a bad year for infections too. you need one of these too  Hope everyone is well for Christmas. I tell Hannah either way sick or not Santa will still come. He won't catch her germs.

Back to baking cookies, so far I have:

peanut butter
chocolate chip
Molasses
Good Cookie( my grandma's recipe, they are my shaped ones)
turtles
Ice Box ( in the fridge will bake later)
Oatmeal chocolate chip.( on my way to make those right now)

Hope I didn't make anyone hungry..... :lmao:

I've been a busy little baking bee lately too. The other week I made chocolate cookies with a york peppermint patty pressed into the center. I made dark chocolate pretzel truffles, today I made shaped sugar cookies, some of them I did with colored sugar and some I iced with white chocolate. I made chocolate-chocolate-peanut butter chip cookies, I made my dough for my gingerbread bears(I'll finish those tomorrow along with my chocolate-mint truffles) and I made chocolate-peanut butter truffles. For dinner we're having sandwiches. I'm tired.

lil G man-they were available at the gift shops at Disney.
BUT- if you call Disney merchandising, they can ship you one or more

Hi everyone,

Man, will the sicknesses never end? Poor kids! (and sick grown ups too).
Guess my secret of drinking wine and :smokin: won't work for the kiddos, will it?
I can't remember the last time I was sick.

MP, you were a baking fool, LOL (and obviously not on a diet). Everything sound sooo yummy!

Amy, glad you stopped by for even a quickie drive by.

Rhonda, you need to send your boss out of town again.

Haley, tomorrow you will be soo excited, I know.

Minnie, I always hate group projects in college. Never fails that you get some lazy bum. Truly maddening!

I made the Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake (by Paula Deen) for the potluck today, it was a big hit. I just saw you can also make it with peanut butter or pineapple or bananas.
Here is the recipe, it's easy to make, in case anyone wants to check it out:

Javamom had beautiful weather here today, 82 and sunny.

Oh, and my former boss gave me a Christmas ornament today (Hallmark collector series), very pretty, but BIG. I'd say 5" in diameter with gold pattern and a gold bow and its brown. At first I thought it was a giant chololate easter egg, LOL.
Hubby asked where the wholes are for the bowling ball.........

we are home...exhuasted but home. I saw a lady that I THOUGHT was grandma and guess what.......IT WASN"T .......then I thought I saw her at the HM and I ALMOST said hello and then looked at my husband looking at me LIKE ARE YOU FOOLISH........
we did alot and ate alot ......OF COURSE HEALTHY FOODS>.....hahaha...well almost.....will check in later......night and hope you are all okey for the holidays.......

 Get well quick pixie dust to Hannah pixiedust:Wesley pixiedust: and Max pixiedust:

:grouphug: to Minnie - Hope your group is able to get inspired and finish up your project by your due date. We're rooting for you! :cheer2:

My daughter mentioned during her last phone call that she has been blessed with good groups for her projects. I know how frustrating it can be when projects don't go smoothly.

 to Rhonda, Amy, Pongo, and Lil G.

Nab, MommyP and Marita - You all made me want some sweets!!! Very ambitious baking.

Pumba, I hope you left some good weather down there in Florida for me in 12 days!!! My DD is in Maine visiting a friend until Wednesday.

She'll be home on Thursday - I can't wait! Wish it was sooner. Haley - I'm jealous that your DS will be home before my DD, but I know that you'll have a GREAT visit.

No diet for me. I try and try and my weight won't budge. I finally realized there isn't anything wrong with my weight. I've had 4 kids, I have curves, I'm never going to be my pre-kids 105lbs again. I've come to terms with my new body and I feel so much better now! I just eat mostly healthy and if I want something good, I eat it. I haven't gained anything in months. However, through all my baking I've found it to be a great diet. After spending the day covered in chocolate I can honestly say I don't want anything to do with anything I just made. :thumbsup2

Hi Mooooooooo!!!!
Hi Marita!!!!!!!!

Minnie! I must say that this past semester we had this HUGE project that involved us running a business and we also had a HUGE presentation on the whole thing at the end (which is one of the reasons no online time for me at the end of the semester) one of the guys did NOTHING. Zip zero zilch nada. And you know what we also graded each other at the end of the semester. I gave him a big fat ZERO. So did the rest of the members. So I feel your pain.

Mommy P! I wish I had your energy girl. By the time I get out of work I am pooped. How you do it with all your boys, you amaze me.

Bad Viking slinking in. :teeth:

I hope you all are doing well. I hope to be able to be here more after the first of the year. Life for the Berg/Berts is insane this time of year! I went three days without getting on the internet! :sad2:

Know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless and Merry Christmas!

I can't say that I know where the diet conversation has come into play - but to quote some comedian somewhere "I'm in shape. Round is a shape!" And that comment describes me completely! LOL

At one point I weighed 280 pounds - after having served for 3 years as a campus minister eating crap - pizza and chicken wings and the like all the dadgum time.

Then, I lost 60 pounds. I was so proud of myself. I exercised - was even running 3 miles a day for a while. Then we moved here and in 3 1/2 years I have gained back 25 of those pounds and about th eonly exercise I get is walking around the hospital visiting sick folks.

However, after the first of the year (famous last words, right?) I will be going back on my diet. I'm going to lose all that I intended to lose in the first place - my goal - 60 more pounds. And I will do it. If we're able to go to the next Maelstrom meet, no one will recognize me!

Blessings!
