I get them at least once a day - the only thing that works for me is to get something to drink, tip my head back as far as I can without tipping my body back, then forcing myself to swallow a drink. It's hard to swallow with your neck back that like, but it works for me!

Hey PerdiGirl,

To get rid of the hiccups you have to change your breathing pattern.

Hiccups are caused by a muscle spasm of the diaphram.

sit up straight (so that you are not putting pressure on the diaphram by slouching) and then take 3-10 deep controlled breaths. When you feel a hiccup coming on take a DEEEPPP breath and hold it for a count of 5 and then let it out slowly. repeat this process until the hiccups have stopped (you changed your breathing pattern and caused the muscle to "rethink" it's cycle.

Another Cinderella here. As long as its not that simpering Snow White. Cinderella has her own inner strength, I'm thinkin'. Plus she's Sydneyralla's current fave, so I'm fine with it. (wait until LM comes out on DVD this fall, though -- I sense Ariel pushing Cindy off her pedestal).

I'm home today watching over my boy. A little DIS time will be worked in, I'm sure.
