If the dates on your photo's are correct...WE too were in Epcot on May 9th. But we had to have dinner with a Belly Dancer. Wonder who's idea THAT was?

Makin' new friends... and getting free shooters... at the Biergarten. Again.

Once again...We were in EPCOT on May 11th also....this is the day I saw the mysterious DISboard Stroller

We ended up having dinner at Rose and Crown...scored a outside table for the fireworks and randomly got seated next to another DIS'er...Dalpal. Hi Dalpal! Anyhooo.....earlier in the day we stopped by Norway for a pretzel and I took DH's pic...He has the same Mickey shirt that Mel is wearing...he thought it would be too hot to wear a dark shirt that day....

Hopefully I will be able to swing the meet in Oct...still buttering DH up for it. He's spending major $$$$$$ this summer on his racing so I have THAT to throw in his face...hahahaha!

Okay, so we went to MIL's house. It looks great on the inside, BTW. Even better than before. The outside still needs some work though. So we were sitting around talking and told her we were going back to DW this year. She gave us that momentary look of disbelief, laughed and called us a couple of suckers. We get that reaction a lot. How bout yall? Or are we the only ones? DH laughed along with her and just told her very matter of factly, "Well, you know that's our thing. That's just what our family likes to do." No apologies anymore, like ZZUB said. No more wasting time trying to explain what we see in it to other people who don't get it. From now on, it's just our thing. Period. End of discussion.

I'm touched by all the mad props -- it would probably mean even more if I knew what a "prop" was, and why it was so angry, but I've just learned not to question these things. BTW, Horsey, love the theme song -- well done on that choice. Nice pics Mel -- next time, just use the protective plastic bubble for Tommy -- would probably be safer anyway. Just make sure to punch a few airholes in it and you'll be good to go. Here's my creepy dee tale. Finally.

I have this childhood best friend. She is exceptionally tall and beautiful. And artistic and funny and cool. She had the chance to travel to Europe a bunch of times in her late teens and early twenties to model and do some travelling. She reminds me of Christie Brinkley. In fact... this is weird... I had a core group of three best girlfriends (growing up) plus myself. Two ended up being models, for a time, and the third was equally gorgeous but was very athletic and driven in her own way. But definitely NOT to model. And. Then there was Me(l). We met when we were four and stuck together like glue. This is kind of telling... we used to play "Charlie's Angels" all the time. Same roles. All the time. Each of the four of us. Guess who was ALWAYS Bosley? All the time? Me(l). Yep. But I digress. A little. Anywho... beautiful girl.

And... I suppose you've all heard of the infamous Canadian serial killer Paul Bernardo and his equally evil girlfriend/wife/ex-wife Karla Homolka? And their horrible crimes? Probably. Right? Well... I found this case, at the time and following their trials, very interesting because it took place in my neck of the woods. St. Catharines, Port Dalhousie, Niagara Falls and Welland. All my old stomping grounds. My dad used to take me fishing on Lake Gibson when I was growing up. The same lake where Leslie Mahaffey's remains were discovered encased in concrete blocks. And... when I was in my later years in high school... we used to drive to the shores of that same lake to... errr... hang out. And stuff. That teenagers do. In Canada anyway. So I read ALL THE BOOKS. All of them. About the case, the trials, the lives of the people involved. It is a very disturbing story. But... fascinating. The two best books, I think, are Lethal Marriage by Nick Pron and Invisible Darkness by Stephen Williams. He's actually written two books on the subject. Again. Digressing. So... a number of years ago I was reading one of the many books and was SHOCKED to realize that my beautiful friend was a bit player in the tale. I think. There's the rub. 'Cause no name is given. For the girl. And my friend was never, at the time, contacted by the authorities about it. But, the author claims, it to be true. His source unquestionable. This is what the book says: That Paul Bernardo was following a waitress home from work for a period of time. The author describes the girl to look like my friend. He NAMES the restaurant she worked and the time period. He NAMES our small town. He describes her house, the layout of her backyard and her bedroom window perfectly. He even describes the hedge that Bernardo would hide behind in her backyard to watch her. It all fits. My friend. But... officially... we don't know if it's her or not. Or that a serial killer ever followed her home. A bunch of times. But, MAN, it sure does sound like her. And nothing ever happened to her... during that time... and she never felt followed. Except for one strange incident. At the time. So... who knows? BUT... the thought of what COULD have happened to her freaks me out. Whenever I think of it. It's absolutely frightening how evil that guy is. I have a hard time reading about them(Karla and Paul) anymore... as Beth gets closer and closer to the age of the girls they harmed. Anyhow... Bernardo is where he deserves to be. Until he dies. But Karla Homolka is out. Free and living somewhere in Quebec. I think. Life just ain't fair. I say.
