I'm back from the beach. I'm not even sunburned.

I'll try to work on a little mini-trippie today. I think I'll title it "Sun, Surf, Meltdowns and Knee surgery." Just a little teaser.

I would ask if anything interesting happened while I was away, but I am quite certain that many interesting things happened while I was away. If anyone feels like doing a recap (or pointing me to a recent recap), it would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll assume that the ship is still rocking on the high seas as usual and I will simply move forward from here.

I need to introduce myself to any newcomers, though:

You made my heart swell yesterday afternoon. Your words, as always, have such a strong affect on me. Your charm, intelligence and wit, are only surpassed by your deep sensitivity. We all appreciate you so very much, really. Your posting count is going up since you met us and that is a fastpass! I also am so appreciative of the laughs and fun, and I can honestly say, I never in my wildest dreams expected to form friendships like this. I was always somewhat leery and suspect of this type of engagement, so I have to stand corrected on my snobbish judgement of cyberfriends....

Funny that you got sentimental yesterday. I was thinking of you this week, and hoping that you and your family are healing and planned on posting to you a few days ago, just to let you know I still know, the feeling. I know it has been just a few months, and that sometimes, sadness weaves in and out of our lives. I am hoping that you and your wife are having more bright spots than not at this point. I also hope that you are finding peace and happiness.

You know I refuse to bow and kowtow to you and that my self-designated role is to keep you on the ground. But, every once in a while, in between the roaring and the ribbing, I just want you to know that I think you are, well, swell.

AMY!!! I missed you. I will PM you something but I am not in the loop on abbreviations. I am doing well to keep ADR, ITTBAB, POTC, RnRC, and other DIS acronyms straight.

I am going to the beach in a few days. I am a shade girl now. Every time I go to the dermatologist and point to something un-lovely, he looks at me and says, "It's the sun." Everything is the sun's fault and it's padding his wallet.

I think I'll leave it to one of our really good summarizers....maybe Haley or PP, to give you a rundown. If you go back to review, just skim, like ZZUB. And skip all the pics that Lala posted of things like head cheese, and the posts (I think they were JW's and Mark's?) about road kill. There was some very upsetting discussion of gross things to eat. Horsey still hasn't recovered.

Oh, and don't worry about Mary, I mean, Mark's name. He's changed it back (not that he was the one to change it in the first place....)

And we have lots of new smilies. Like this and this and this one, which none of us like cuz it's too creepy dee.
