Question for all you mommies and daddies out there. A friend of ours has just been induced and her hubby called to see if I would make them the HEREHEIS candy bar announcements like I did for their first born. They are having a boy so of course I bought Hershey bars with almonds...it is a BOY after all. Now on the back where I put "Contains 100% U.S. Baby Boy" I want to add "Allergy Warning: This product contains nuts." Because frankly it is a Hershey bar with ALMONDS.

Would you find this offensive? I know that they wouldn't but I'm worried about the people they will be giving them out to. (He is a state tropper and she is a pharmacist.)

He won't. Nor his buddies. Law Enforcement types have a sense of humor to appreciate that.

If I were giving them out to church folks, yeah, it might be a little off-color. But I'm kind of on the extreme of whether something is tasteful or not.

So much has happened today while I was working....

UtahMama went from not having enough nicknames to having too many (Uma, U-ma, Ms. Thurman, Strom, Strum, Oprah the list, like the beat goes on)

Vettechick is looking for baby names (that last one you mentioned should really be spelt Camere, much trendier)

Bdg actually went golfing. (So he says..... I mean maybe I am a golf addicted lawyer and he is a housewife... hmm.... )

Much discussion of TV lineups and a few confessions of geekiness (HELOO people! you are posting on a internet discussion board for disney... embrace your inner geekiness!)

Oh yeah and most importantly (to me anyway).... TwinkieDaddy got a job!!!!! He has been job hunting and we were fully expecting to move. We had decided on one position and then out of the blue came a dark horse and all I have to say is Whohooty!!!

Carmanere is an even better name as it's also a wine varietal. Yeah, I know it misses the joke about the original name, but hey, this is MY post!

I thought the joke/allergy note on the bar was well within reasonable means for humor. You can always get away things that concern babies that you can't with adults. . .like pee and poop stories. . .

Yes I am fine. It hit about the time the kids were to be dismissed from school. There was a lot of rotation, but nothing actually touched down to the ground. We went to the basement "tunnel" at work for a few minutes as we were right in the area where they were seeing rotation. It was scary for a few minutes, but it passed by quickly.

We are under a tornado watch until 10pm.

Whew, long day, and it's not over yet. Need to go to a wake in about 10 minutes. But, then, Jay is taking me for dinner. (No "sorries" necessary on the wake. Was the father of a former co-worker. 85 yrs. old, never met the man, and the only reason I'm going is that I happened to get a message from said co-worker who seemed to expect me there. Not sure why. But I'll feel guilty now if I don't go.

Anyhoo, Tink, we may show up at your place after. If we don't find any good restaurants close by.
