Morning. Some adorable little person awakened me from a very pleasant Disney dream. And now I can't get back to sleep on this promising holiday day.

Haley! Those pages are loverly! Sadly, I haven't scrapped in about 2.5 years. Since Sydney started crawling. Actually it has more to do with working rather than her, but I have really let it go. My TR is going to be the jumpstart back into it -- I'll use that to make a Disney album

OMG! I GOT a morning SHOUT OUT! I feel really special ! Thanks Sher! Right back atcha!

I've been up as long as you (do you SLEEP at all?) because I'm doing laundry because we leave TO-NIGHT BAY-BEEE! On an all nighter flight....with a 2 year old (a moody one!) FEEEEL my anx! I CANT wait to see the uppity passengers (there's always a few??) when they see my 4 kids board the plane...(PRICELESS- I love "that" look the tsk-tskers give us (me)!)

Little do they know my kids are angels on airplanes (KNOCK on wood!)

THAT's the ONLY place their angels, though!

I saw drink recipes up a page or two ago so here is one from the Poly

Lapu Lapu :

A splash of simple syrup. (sugar and water but you can find it at liquor stores)

A splash of orgeat syrup.
This is what gives it that Almond flavor. Amaretto is a nice substitution.

A splash of passion fruit syrup. This is what makes it different from a Mai Tai.

Two shots of light rum.

A mixture of 60% pineapple juice and 40% orange juice. (instead of orange juice, try tangerine "Naked Juice" from Trader Joe's)

A floater of dark rum. "Myers" or darker if you have it.

You guys. Steve Irwin's death has me feeling very very wolley. He was such a champion for the conservation of wildlife.

This just sucks.....there are not enough people on this planet furthering that cause. Now one less.

Oh UtahMama- I got you one better- I flew BY MYSELF (no DH, no dear mom) with a 2 month old baby, 3 year old twins and an 11 yr old..... you should have seen the looks I got as I boarded...... every solo male traveler was fervently praying that He wasn't the 5th one in our row........

as I entered the young and elegantly dressed grandma who was sitting in the first row with her well coiffed daughter and DearGrandSon1 ( they also had every toy and snack known to man already pulled out to entertain the young prince).... anyway the Grandma said in a Very Loud Stage Whisper "Look SHE isn't complaining"

and on the return trip we were in a little puddle jumper which means one little Twinkie balked at climbing the scary step ladder so I entered carrying a newborn, and a 3 year old and a backpack and the everpresent milkextractor with another 3 year old and my DS 11 trailing behind...

Finally found the ruling Mama:
It is legal to use woo-hooty in Kansas but only under the following restrictions:
a) No more than 10 "Os" can be used at one time, and they must be in lower caps;
b) It can be used in the schools, but not advanced as a part or parcel of any form of religious demonstration or denomination, such as Catholicism, Buddhism, Islamism, Baptism, Methodism, or Maelstromism;
c) On any given national holiday, the term must be uttered thusly, "hoo-wooty," but must stay within the 10 "O" parameters outlined in a) above;
d) Any children under the age of 13 must have the express written consent of their parents on file with the Dept of Redundancy Dept before dispensing with either a "woo-hooty" or "hoo-wooty";
e) No "woo-hooty" may be exclaimed, uttered, shouted past 11 p.m. on weekdays, 1 a.m. on weekends. "Woo-hooty" may be whispered at one's discretion. There are no such noise restrictions on "hoo-wooty" given that it is used strictly on national holidays though still observing d) above;
f) Unauthorized "woo-hooties" or "hoo-wooties" are subject to fines not to exceed 10 Disney dollars

Steph, really? They aren't stickers? They look like stickers. I only have one at the moment (got the last one left at Home Depot!), hadn't yet decided what to do with it. Or if I was going to get more. But I was assuming they were stickers.

I do have a LY/MI pin, though. Bought it a while ago from the Zurgs. Only pin I have. I'm NOT a collector.

There is actually a little bit of sun out there today. Going to try to get out for a few rays. Enjoy this Labor-less Labor Day!!!

Boo. We were ready to head up for a last hurrah at the lake today, but Conor is under the weather. 102 fever. Feels "wobbly" says he. And actually said he'd rather lie down than go to camp. That's the real deal, my friends. When he passes up a boat ride with grampa, that's sick.

S-T- You are so right. But isn't it funny we use the same lines our parents gave us. "You don't know how good you got it" everytime I say that hubby goes into the whole thing you did about walking to school in 2 ft of snow.

I am here trying to get them ready for school tomorrow and they are out playing somewhere with friends. I am just hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow like they are calling for. Nothing worse then waiting for the school bus in the rain. It ruins my first day of school pics too.
