Reading, seeing and hearing Part 3

Okay ladies, thanks for the juicy tidbits.

Shelby - There are several speed traps down I-75: Byron, Cordele, Tifton, Adel and Valdosta. All of them. Especially Adel and Byron. Oh, and also Forsyth, north of us, on those weeks that the new trooper class is learning RADAR and LIDAR. Those weeks are killers.

It's raining HARD here now. Of course. Because I need to go home and change so that I can run around the gym with my little man. At least I will be changing OUT of wet clothes and into dry ones, right? I wonder where my umbrella is . . . .

Off to the gym!

Hope ya'll are having a good day!!

My kiddos went back to school today. It was actually kind of nice. I was ready and so were they. Both had good days.

Shelby - I live south of Atlanta in Macon. If you need some ideas for a stopping place, I'll be glad to help you out. Macon is about 1 1/2 hrs south of Atl. And 5 1/2 - 6 from the World.

Tink - I am truly enjoying your stories about the hussy. And if her Mama is reading this, then maybe your giving her some info she needed anyway! She can tell the hoochie to quit messing with your boy!!

All the food conversation is making me hungry. OK - that's not true. Rhonda's sausage recipes actually were making me sick. But the Italian food sounded good.

Amy - Hope you stayed dry today. As usual, we didn't get a drop. Did ya'll get a bunch last night, too? We didn't get any then either.

Rhonda - Glad Wesley had a great day! My little man started 4K today as well. Getting big aren't they?

Just wanted to say hello!!

Ya'll have a good one!

NM - So I guess you don't want the recipe for fried lilly livers, then?

That is so unfair. It takes me longer to fly there than that.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am mostly DED now.

Glad Wesley had a good first day.

I wish Amy could send some of that rain my way. My lawn has died now. It is STILL 100+ out here.

Hi to everyone else :wave2:

Susan (and any other Red Sox fans), condolences about BM2 ;)

Kim, don't you work for your DH??? If that doesn't float your boat anymore, go back to teaching! We need more good teachers!!!

Nooooooo I don't work FOR him. Really. I'm an independent contractor. :rotfl2: I am the boss of me. Sort of.

I may go back to teaching once all my kidlets are in school full time AND they are old enough such that pulling them out of school for Disney wouldn't be proper. Because then it won't matter that we'd have to work around MY school's vacation.

Here are a few pics from our trip to the lake this weekend. Hope you like them!

NM...Thanks! I may be calling on you for some lodging info...still in the early planning/debating process. While I hate to think about driving 18 hours, it would save us about $300 and we wouldn't have to deal with the airport and whatever restrictions they'll have at that time.

MEL?... The name sounds familiar...there used to be a Mel that posted here awhile ago... she LOVED these!

Tink... Looks like you guys had FUN! I've never been tubing, exactly how fast is the boat going? and how do you avoid a wedgie?

Shelby - I wouldn't know about the wedgie thing. Mo don't tube. Indoor girl and all that jazz.

I think the boat was going about 45mph.

Tink, you look fabulous, glasses and all! And you are an adorable couple with a heartbreaker of a boy :lmao:

So I made an appointment for this afternoon for cable guy to move a box from a bedroom to the kitchen. Crunchtime at work too (althought I can do some stuff from home).

ETA 4-6. So I left at 2:45 to have time to stop and get some wine (very important, as I was out) and be home in time.

Got a call around 5:15, saying it will be closer to 6:30, but I will get another call before they get here. It is now 6:45 and no call yet!!!!!!!

Who do these people think they are???

On a positive note, I finally picked up on some calls from some solicitors that always call, which i usually ignore, and sternly told them that I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST, AND IF THEY KEEP IT UP, I WILL SUE!! (yeah, right)

One number that calls all the time was (so he said) from a research company, and he said, well that is great for unsolicited marketing calls, but we are a research company (which has been calling daily according to my caller ID). I got great pleasure out of telling him off!

HALEY B, HALEY B!!!!!!!

Guess what came in my mail today baby???!!!!!!

Hey Tink, Amy, NM and Shell-bee!!!!!

Thanks, Marita!

The boy brought the trumpet home today. :faint: It sounds like an animal is being tortured in my house.

At least the huss....er...Yetza hasn't called. Yet. That I know of.

Hey Tink, Amy, NM and Shell-bee!!!!!

I'm not Haley, but can I guess? Even though you didn't say hey to me? 'Cause my Magical Express tags came in the mail today!! Is that it?? Is it? Huh?

Tink! Love the pics. Thought you had gone brunette? You still look red to me...

Mel......1000th Happyhaunt.....hmmm, rings a bell. And the heh, heh looks familiar, too! If I remember correctly, she could share a water wedgie storie with ya, Shelby. A BAD one!!!!!

Really, Mel, nice to see ya over here at your ORIGINAL "home". Really!!

I think I found him:

sent him off to be well taken care of at the CR. Plutopants did so love the Poly. I think there is no turning back for him. I think he may even PREFER it. Just sadin. He likey-lots.

Extra hugs, prayers, and pixie dust fro my DH today mates.

To day he went to the Title Co to sell his mom's property to the neighbor's. Long story short, she has Alzheimier's and hasn't lived there for over a year now. She is in an assisted living facility here in town.

It wasn't something that he wanted to do, but had to. Better to sell it to the neighbor's than let the State take it.

At any rate, it wasn't a pleasant thing to have to do.
:sad2:

It's been really hard on him for several years trying to help her with her care as he is an only-child. Her condition makes her very difficult at times. Originally, we moved her in here with us. That went South quickly as she would get up at night and cause irrational scenes at 2 and 3 am.

So, now he has between now and the vacation to get the stuff that he wants off property and sell the rest. All the money goes into her account, and we can use some of the money to buy her stuff like a funeral plan, and a new television, and for the moving expenes. Basically though, what we don't use for her care or the move will be taken by the State to off-set her care expenses.

:worried:

Stephie!!!!!

Sweetie!! I am so very sorry. Despite the fact that she is still living, it's a loss, I know. Of the mom he knew. And it's really hard. To have to be the caretaker. To see your parent, the epitome of strength your whole life, that way.

And of course, all the red tape doesn't help. At all. I'm giving you the biggest Sher hug of all, right now. Right this very instant.
