I have let the cake thing go. I am happy with my replacement. Plus I could never be mad at Grammy. Don't want to hurt my chances of getting some of her brownies one of these days!

Oh, and SID, FYI, you can't just throw around these promises without some follow through. We will expect to see you at the meet. If you can make one "Whirlwind" Trip, then you can make two. It's not like you live really far away or anything.... (And I still think it was Keith Moon)

And, In my haste to get out the birthday wish, I forgot to wish Lacto (ok, I've assimilated) and Dre a belated happy anniversary. Hope it was great! YAK, glad your husband finally "remembered"!

Rhonda and Mark - Will the trip be in August or September

At this point we're shooting for like 2 weeks before the big meet. But we're not sure. Gotta figure out how to pay for it first! But we knew about a week ago that it was going to end. You may remember that I was in the spice shop one night and dropped out of sight for a while. I said Rhonda and I were having a "discussion". That was the discussion. We had found out then and we were trying to figure out if and when we might be able to go.

So we shall see.

MarkyMark and Rhonda: I think you should (if you are remotely interested) also check the concert schedule for Playhouse Disney that they will be running - see if anything would interest the young prince. Just sayin. (I STILL want to take mine to see the Wiggles, but it just isn't going to happen.)

YAJ - love the new siggie. Couldn't get any counters to work? There are several sites for downloading. But I think once you paste you have to put either or the link stuff around it to make it show right. If that helps.

I also have a Monday morning rant: We got our one month Power bill for May/Jun. It was $739. !!!! (No pool, hottub, extra that would suck power and a new house) I'm pretty sure they read the meter wrong, since previous bills were in the $250 range. Anyway, I've been trying to call them since Thursday to get it straightened out. This is what I get when I call,

"Welcome to Hydro One. Due to the high volume of calls at this time, we suggest you try your call at a later time" CLICK!

What the heck is that. I can't even have to option of holding for 3 or 4 hours. Then I have an excuse to DIS while waiting!!!

I was watching the Cubs game on tv yesterday, and Gary Sinise led the 7th inning "Take Me Out to the Ball Game". And of course I thought of Mel. But then the announcers mentioned he had been in Canada performing with the Lieutenant Dan Band over the previous 2 days and flew into Chicago that day. Then I remembered Mel was going to that concert! So I'll have to go check out her blog to see how it went

Kitty, thanks for the b-day update. How did I not know that 2IAB and I share a birthday?!?! I can't believe I missed that! We're neighbors, too!!! (But she's a lot younger than me)

Wow, YAK, that's gotta be a mistake. Our monthly bills are only in the $180 range. And we have a pool and central air! Good luck getting them to take your call
