Nay, Chap. We Maelstromers are here to spread cheer and goodwill among all. Definitely not to pick fights. And to encourage others to do the same. In our herd (pack? flock? pride?) of Vikings way.

What IS a whole buncha Vikings called, anyway?

First things first: Haley, I am sooo glad you survived. I hate Six Flags, too. We have one 3 hours away in Louisville. The ONLY good thing about Six Flags is how confident I can feel in my swimsuit there. That's it. we found an awesome park in Santa Claus, Indiana, called Holiday World and went with three neighbor families over Memorial Day--19 of us! Excellent world-class coasters (the Amer. Coaster Enthusiasts were there!) and a very very clean park . They also have free parking, free soft drinks (ds6 spent all day mixing sodas....) and free sunscreen. I am hooked on local regional parks over giving any more $ to the Flags. Check it off your list, girl, and look to our meet at the real World!

Birthday report up next.....

Hey Everysweetbody!

Horsey!! The picture of Jack is hilarious! Both of my boys have done it so I know how ya feel.

LaLa Girl we staged a strike in Elementary school against the cafeteria. We wanted ketchup bottles on our tables and we would not buy any lunches until we got them. It actually worked!! I also smoked many a pack of those lil candy cigs....

We just went and bought a ton of fire works (had to cross the state line and get them in Alabama because we wanted the really good ones that go boom). I'm sure our new neighbors are just going to love us. :)

Horsey thanks for posting that, I REALLY needed the laugh from it.

Could you say a few prayers for me, strommers? My Dad called me today out of the blue, and I really am conflicted about the whole thing. Part of me wanted to find out why he has called me, and the other part of me just wants to walk away and never look back for mine and my children's sake.

Just say a prayer for me ok?

Thanks!

I just sent one up for you and I hope you reach a decision that gives you peace. :)

You friends made my birthday so special yesterday. I feel richly blessed this year, especially when I consider a whole new group of friends I did not know three months ago.. The cakes, flowers, gifts (thank you, Tink and Grammy for the troublesome delivery and my doorman wants your phone numbers..), smilies, and HUMOR were wonderful.

I walked into the kitchen yesterday to find a greeting from Viking Pluto:

This made my morning!

I had my usual walk with my dear friend. We laughed about a similar walk the year we both turned 30; we thought we were sooo old then! Where have the years gone?

The CookMaster called me first and blasted 'They Say It's Your Birthday' into the phone. I love her. I had lunch with her and the rest of the Mafia (6 of us) at a local pool. The CookMaster showed up with the gift everyone covets: a bag of her cookies (see pic...http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=12180331&postcount=32)

We dove right in. We laughed and laughed till I had to leave to pick up kids.

I had lovely calls and emails all day; yours were among the brightest! We ended the day at the local sports bar/restaurant with the cookmaster's family where I ate, yes, a cheeseburger and onion rings!!! When we finally got home, I found these on my porch:

Thanks Daddy...

My boys made me cards and drew pictures of me. In ds6's rendition, I am wearing my phone headset...

May all your birthdays be as happy as you made mine. Thank you, friends!

Hey Java,

I am thinking of you!!! :grouphug:

Hope this can help you with perspective.

"God give me the detachment to accept those things I cannot alter;
the courage to alter those things I can alter;
and the wisdom to distinguish the one thing from the other."

My thoughts are with you baby!!!!

Well, we're off to the beach! Fill my PM box please, and keep me informed. Everytime I'm away something BIG happens. :thumbsup2 Don't miss me too much... :sunny:

Good afternoon CLAN!

(I think I like Clan, it has a nice ring to it.)

Busy day in Court, didn't finish until 3.

Back and catching up:

Steph: prayers for you honey, I know it's tough. :grouphug:
Horsey: I believe that I'm an animal. I believe that the video proves that the GeorgiaKitty is really a GeorgiaVikingKitty!!!
Jami: Glad you had a great b-day, sweetie!!! (and I'm going to call my cousin about visiting!) Funny that you mention Holiday World. I remember going there when it was Santa Claus land (many many years ago.) It has improved greatly since those days!
YAK: hope the girl lands her axel. WOW!
Haley: Glad you survived the flags of horror.

and a very special welcome to HUCIFER. I read your last report, and started the current one some time back. I maybe even posted b/c I am subscribed, but, then again, maybe not. ANYWAY, I greatly enjoyed both. I need more hours in the day! But glad to see you over here! Pull up a comfy chair, grab some grog and put on a viking hat!

Everyone not mentioned above-I'm thinking of you and wishing everyone a very happy weekend, if I don't see you. Tomorrow is jam-packed, and I have to clean my house at some point before my sister gets here. Sunday might be the day. Maybe.

Amy

All righty peeps!!
