Haley...I am going to be coming to Austin at some point. I can't wait to hear about it.

There is a really fun area downtown with all sorts of bars, tons of live music (Austin calls itself the Live Music Capitol). We can have a mini meet with S-T!

HALEY! Love all the pix! Mr. Silly is such a sweet guy, getting down in the water with the babies....probably tried telling them jokes, indoctrinating them early.....

The water park didn't even look crowded. How can that be?

Yeah I heard about Feasting on Asphalt. He had to find a way to get that motorcycle of his on t.v.

Color me jealous. He's one of the few "stars" I would love to meet. I live 8 miles from Garth Brooks and we happen to like the same restaurant in town. I've never seen him and haven't had a reason to go out and see him when he's out and about.

Although I would love to have Garth and Tricia attend our church. We need some pizzazz in our music ministry.

The water park didn't even look crowded. How can that be?

It was slightly overcast that day. Whenever there are clouds the pools are empty here. I think Austinites are afraid of clouds, maybe that is because so many of them are from Southern California. People in Southern California melt in the rain.

It might also be a fear of lightening. Austin gets a lot of that.

BTW...Alton Brown just drew a big (un)hidden Mickey on Good Eats. And referenced Mickey doing it. He's my hero (AB not MM)(although I like Mickey well enough)(See I told you I was staring to get a complex)

We were watching that too and DS4 said, "he drew a hidden Mickey!!" I was so proud.

My DD saw Mario Batali shopping at Zingerman's Deli in Ann Arbor on a Sunday morning a couple weeks ago. I asked if he had his orange clogs on and she said she thought he was wearing orange Crocs.

I read last year that he has a tie with a restaurant in the Traverse City area and a home nearby. He was lugging SEVERAL large bags when he left.

Wish I'd been visiting her at that time. He's fun to watch on Iron Chef.

Horseygirl - Glad you enjoy some bovine humor. I live pretty close to a couple dairy farms, but I can also see our neighbors' two horses out my bedroom window.

I just read on his website that while he was filming the new show, he wiped out on his bike and broke his collarbone. He wrote that it will be part of the new series.
