Reading about reservation foul-ups makes me nervous: What docs should I have?

I just read a few posts about WDW messing up reservations. One thing that seems to be a tip-off that soemthing is amiss is not getting documents. But what documents should I get and when should I get them?

Thanks!

I've never had a foul-up with Disney but I did have one in New York once. Since then, no matter where I go, I save every little stitch of paper that has anything to do with my trip. So far, it works. No problems.

Now here's to hoping I didn't just jinx myself :scared1:

I want to know this as well. Twinnybelles said she got DME at 45 days out but never the rest. What are both of these? I've never booked a package before this year- always did room only- so we never received any of these. What are DME and what else is mailed to you and when???

The problem seems to be applying discounts on a previous ressie. To me, if it sounds too good to be true, it may be, buyer beware. I'm always skeptical of deep discounts. (I also end up paying a lot more all of the time) I'm even too paranoid to apply a AAA discount. This is our third trip and we've always just paid rack rate. (I know, a lot of people would call me foolish.) But, I'm in control of my ressie and a mistake hasn't been made!
