Does anybody remember how to make Christmas trees out of Readers Digest's?

I haven't seen those in years. I also remember making angels by painting the folded magazine gold and adding pipe cleaner wings and one of those little round heads from a craft store. We were such creative kids!

Has anyone done this recently? Is it as easy as it looks? How do you get the star to stay on top? Regular glue? How long to they take to dry?
