According to many sites and sources Bush is trying to ban Anime and other Cartoons! Such as Sponge bob, Scooby Doo, ect. Personally I have NEVER liked Bush, but this has crossed a line! If they do pass this law they will be getting 5 letters a day for years from me of a piece of MY mind, who else thinks this is insane and stupid?

I doubt it's true. And if it is, I'm more annoyed that congress is wasting it's time on banning cartoons that do no harm, than dealing with the economy, the war in Iraq, the fact that businesses are shipping factories overseas so thousands are losing jobs here, the war in Afganistan, the oil crisis, our overcrowded prisons, our schools that are becoming a joke, our weight problem, our growing diabetes problem, AIDS, Cancer, our environment, and the fact that everyone else outside of the country hates our guts.

this has been going around since at least early 2005. Its not gonna happen though. if you ban something, that makes people wnat it more, and there is ALWAYS a way to get whatever it is that you're looking for.

One reason why I think pot should be legalized in this country.

Not to mention how would they enforce this? Is the FBI going to knock down my door because I'm watching Spongebob? Please, for the love of god, don't waste our tax dollars on petty personal issues like this.

I'm not a fan of half way doing anything. if you're going to make ONE drug legal, you might as well make them all legal, or make them all illegal. all of htem are dangerous, and all of them can do damage to the person using them. none is any less dangerous than any other because they can all hurt you.

I feel that if you legalize it, sure there will be an outbreak of a bunch of pot heads, but soon people will get bored with it. I mean, you have to admit part of the alure of doing it, is that it is illegal. If you take out the risk, what is the point?

I feel that more people will get this than dont.

That was a politcal cartoon though. I don't see why he would ban Spongebob. Not to mention, I feel that we shouldn't stoop to their level. If they are going to act like that over a simple cartoon, then you know what? Don't give them what they want and ban things they don't like. In fact I feel that every major American Newspaper should have printed that same cartoon, and ten new ones like it.

I was listening to this guy on the radio, I think his name is Shmidt. I loved him because he was talking about this, and in the article he was reading, it said, "14 muslims have died during the inccident". He then went "THEY ARE SO CRAZY THEY ARE KILLING THEMSLEVES OVER A FREAKIN CARTOON!"



Bush, you wanna win the war in Iraq? Just tick them all off. They will destroy themselves.

I keep it for illegal too, it's not just the feeling of it "being illegal", it's the addiction. Same as smoking, smoking is legal and people waste their lives smoking and they die from it. Others die from second hand smoke which is even worse. I am proud of the police who arrest the "pot heads" to keep us safe. Rather be safe then sorry.

we HAVE stooped to their level. We've been there. Am I the only one that remembers the religous groups freaking because spongebob might be gay? I see this as just another way for the government to try to force their morals on us. (not a fan of bush, if you can't tell. )

No. No we havn't. We are far from it. Do you see mass riots every time someone pokes fun at Jesus?

What I'm saying, is that becoming the problem won't solve the problem. I feel that if they can't accept our differences, then screw them.

I agree its probly not true..But if it is its just gonna promote shows like Real Life were all everyone is doing is have you know what, drinking and smoking. It will dramaticly change what kids watch.

You bring up a very good point. If we ban cartoons, what will kids watch that wont be a negative influence on them?

As funny as that is that is really offending as my best friend is muslim. It just really urks me when people label them all as "Muslims" instead of terrorists.

I had a best friend that was Muslim. Infact I used to live about half an hour away from the largest population of muslims outside of the Middle East.

just curious..where did you find this?..i have never heard of it and i watch the news every night.

I think that it should be either illegal or stay like alcohal like no one under 21 can buy it. Lets say it is legal, and people do get borerd with it as someone said, then speed,ice,crack ext. will be a even larger problem
