Read The Link It Was On Cnn

I am patiently...okay not so patiently...waiting for the day we go without kids. Our kids are DS24, DS22, DS19, DD 16 and right now I feel like I wouldn't have as much fun without some of the kids going...they are rather entertaining all by themselves! And they still really like going. We are planning a trip for next year with everyone, which we haven't done since DS#1 started college, but there is definately a little spot in my heart that can't wait for our first "alone" trip. My goal is to go with just my hubby when my daughter is in college, hopefully, son#1 and son#2 won't give me any grandchildren to take before I can get there alone! Isn't family wonderful!!!

soccer mom,

We just arrived at the place you're looking to go. In 2 days we take our first solo trip and at 9 park days it'll be the longest. We're fortunate enough that our 2 20-something daughters, SIL and 19 yr old son still enjoy joining us on our beach vacation and we treated them all to WDW this March, but I don't think we'll find the kidless trip to be a burden. One tip concerning grandchildren, you can take them on your own terms. You can hand them back to their owners when wet and if you're kids 'give' you grandchildren, you can return them!

Good article. My DH and I have made two trips to WDW without children and we had wonderful times. We are making our first trip with our DD2 in January and in the back of my mind is a wee bit of "wish we were going childless". Oh well, that will happen all too soon I'm afraid.

I sent that out to all of our friends who just don't understand why we go to WDW as often as we can. It should explain it all to them!

we also go without kids as you can see our honeymoon is in April :cool1:

Bill from PA,

Thanks for that tip on grandkids...I'll have to remember that when the time comes!

we are about to leave for our 5th trip in 14 months and we live in ohio(love those season passes). we do have 2 children but nobody can understand why we go so muc. I can go on a ride there a million times and never go bored. I can eat at the same favorite restaurant there(le cellier lunch) and never get enough. you just have to be there and love disney to understand.
