We'll be heading down to POFQ in September. Was thinking about using online checkin to expedite the arrival since we're getting in late afternoon and plan to surprise the kids with a night at MNSSHP. Does anyone know if it would be an issue since we are requesting an accessible room?

There shouldn't be any problem as long as you've already reserved and confirmed the accessible room. We did online check in for a recent stay at POFQ and the only problem we had was that the designated hostess for the online check-in "line" had taken another guest in front of us who had not done the online check in since until we arrived, there was no one in that queue. They took forever going over their paperwork when this was supposed to be an expedited line where your packet is already prepared. The other line ( non-online check-in) moved much more quickly. Had I chosen that line I'd have been done 20 minutes sooner.---Kathy

I am not doing the online checkin because I have a location request, as well as the accessible room request - but I am staying at CSR which is HUGE, so location really matters! This is my honeymoon, so i want to be AWAY from the pool/arcade/etc but also on the side with the first bus stops (need it for a powerchair)... I want to be able to talk to them there about such things...

I am also faxing my request ahead of time and calling the hotel a couple days before to make sure everything is set!

Online check in just means everything is ready for you- room cards are printed, your welcome packet and parking slip is ready, etc. It doesn't really affect your accessible room. Since you still have to check in with a CM, then if there are any issues with room location, it could still be discussed. I've stayed at CSR several times and as it is so spread out, and as there ARE roll in shower rooms way back in Ranchos, I would request another building now also, esp. before I got there, like KPeveler. I'm doing online check in for my DVC stay at AKV in September and am not expecting a problem---Kathy

We just got back in May and I was unable to use online check in as I was told with the special accessable request it had to be unlocked manually when I got there. My room was fine and ready for me as promised but I did have to get in line to do so.
