(re) used disney hopper passes

Going with the family to disney next week for 3 days. A friend told me to purchase tickets from the kiosks outside Disney. From what I have read recently that may not be prudent. How do I know how much time is left on the pass? Do they have 3 day hopper passes? We will only be there for three days. We are staying at All Star Sports. Any feedback would be appreciated.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!

There is no way to tell how many days are left on a pass until you get to WDW. The people at the kiosks have no way of telling how many days are left on the passes and have to rely on the honesty of the person who sold them the passes.

The passes may have been purchased with a stolen credit card. If the purchase was later refused by the card issuer, the pass would be worthless. Again, you have no way of knowing this and neither does the seller unless he is the crook who used the stolen card in the first place.

You can purchase Park Hoppers in advance from any of the reputable dealers that are mentioned on these boards. Alamo is offering a 3-day PH thru a 1-800 telephone number. Just do a little searching thru the threads here.

You can also get UPHs (also referred to as length-of-stay passes), since you are staying onsite. They can be purchased for a slight discount in advance from Disney.

We have always purchased park passes through the Disney resorts. I believe the minimum Park Hopper pass is for 4 days. Any unused days can, however, be used on your next trip to WDW. The following was obtained from Disney's web site, FAQs.

Q. How can I find out how many days are left on my tickets?
A. Information regarding remaining days on old or unused ticket media may be obtained only by visiting Guest Relations at Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney-MGM Studios or the Magic Kingdom Park. In general, if the ticket media is unused and does not have an expiration date, you may be able to use or upgrade the old tickets by visiting any Walt Disney World ticket sales location.


I agree with mad4themouse. DON'T PURCHASE TICKETS OUTSIDE OF DISNEY!

We were able to purchase 3 day hopper passes from Ticketmania, I believe. We had no problem with these at all. It may have just been a limited time offer however.
