We last went to WDW in Oct99 and stayed at ASMo. We're going back and I wonder if we could bring our mugs for this time, or if they cange the design to drastically from year to year. Thanks for the help! --mplsmom

I'd bring them. We were there in June 01 and I saw folks using old ones and never saw a CM call anyone on it. Have fun!!

We just got back tonight and we always take ours. Two are from 97 and two are from 00. They changed the design towards the end of last year and changed the lid colors to red, black and yellow.

By all means...bring 'em! We saw people,(and this ticked me off), who were filling up their own, non-Disney, mugs, paper cups, anything that would hold a drink. This happened every morning, and most evenings.......

Thanks for the replies. We'll definitely pack. This is a spur of the moment trip and every dime I can save will help :) - mplsmom

We were told by the CM at check in to bring them back every time we come back to All Star Music... doesnt matter how old they are you can reused them... he said it cost disney penny's for fill up.. but that disney makes far more from you using them ... as he said if you use them at home someone will see it and may come to stay at disney... so disney loves for you to reused them each visit..

Can I use Vero Beach ones that I purchased last fall at Disney World? thanks Kim

I was wondering that too, I have mugs from the CBR from February, and we'll be at Sports and Music at the top and tail end of our trip. I thought about being sneaky and taking the mugs along and using them, even though they are from a different resort 8 months ago. I am really, really bad at breaking rules or being sneaky. This is why I don't play poker.

So, I won't get thrown out or anything?

A mug remains good indefinitely to be used at the resort at which it was purchased. Some resorts have "sister" resorts where they can also be used. For instance, All-Star Resorts are interchangeable. Same with Dixie Landings & Port Orleans both now known as Port Orleans.
