???? RE Ticket format

We are receiving tickets from the YES program, will our tickets be paper or plastic? I know its a stupid question, but I just want to make plans since our group is so large.

They will be tyvek and work just like a regular MYW ticket but:

• You do use them for FP's.
  
• You can't add them to your KTTW
  
• You can't upgrade them
  
• You can't save them since they are only good for a two week time period starting one week before your trip
  
• They don't require a finger scan because groups like this usually collect them at the end of the day. Also some groups collect them as soon as they get into a park to make sure the kids don't loose them. So yes no FP's.

Yea but for some large groups they don't. I have followed a few threads here where kids were trying to figure out how to get FP's without their ticket.

On my two band trips with my sons' we never lost a ticket. But if we did, we had them all sorted, copied and identified. So it would have been very easy to replace a ticket.

Also you don't want to be one of those kind of tour groups.

Though I admit we did it once when the band was in a class at Epoct. Because we were backstage, we had to give all the tickets to a CM to run through the system. We then also had to leave that area since it was in WS and we couldn't stay with the class. We were escorted to Norway and once we fixed a few problem tickets at GS. were like we have all the tickets.

We when to soaring and got everyone a FP. Before you say we were like those people. There was no one at any of the machines at 9:30 and didn't really need them. At 7:00 PM we were looking for things to do to kill time inside since it was cold and raining and Soaring was a walk on. We were like can't we wait a little bit.

Well we did a little because we were a group of 11 and we got the top middle all to ourselves.

You CAN get FP's with these YES tickets.

In my scenario above the GL takes the tickets and does not get FP's for everyone because they could have hundreds of kids and it could get out of control.

For one group the kids own chaperon held the tickets for those kids, maybe 8 or so. The chaperon didn't tour with the kids so if they wanted FP's they had to agree to meet up at the attraction and then the chaperon would get them the FP's and take the tickets back.

For my two trips I was the "fun" Disney chaperon Dad so I had around 10 kids with me which was a quarter of the group. We also had 7th graders and at least two parents asked me to stay with their kids. Wasn't an issue because the older brother was friends with son so we had all done stuff together before anyway and the older brother wasn't one of those kind to ditch his little brother.

I checked your other posts and it looks like you only have 27 with your group so it will be a lot easier to manage everything.

I would rather be behind one person getting fifty FPs than be behind fifty individuals getting one FP each. Five FPs into it the runner is an expert and is going to be much faster than each person having their learning curve in front of me.

I've gotten FPs for a group of eight and I would not hesitate to get them for 100.

You can get FP's with YES tickets. Just because some groups collect the tickets and make it hard for some groups to get FP's doesn't mean they should make a special case.

They would have to give every YES ticket holder two pieces of Tyvek, one ticket and the one FP card and turn off getting FP's for the regular ticket.

Out of curiosity, may I ask how the answer to this question impacts your plans?

I am a staright up OCD freak that has to know EVERY detail I possibly can before going. I want to make sure that I have something to hold all of the passes in without being cumbersome so the material thickness would determine the type of "container" if you will that I will use.
