Re-thinking Ressie BWV vs BLT

We have reservations for BWV Dec 10-14 for our first Christmas visit. We've ALWAYS stayed at Boardwalk, and I think I'd like to try BLT to be near the monorail. Are BLT reservations as hard to get in Dec as WLV and BWV at 7 months? Also, what would I lose out on at BWV if I switch (Christmas atmosphere-wise)

I doubt if you would find availability at BLT for early Dec. although we are still in the 11 month window for December.

I stayed at BLT last Dec 7-10 and booked at exactly 11 months and I was waitlisted for Standard View and it never came through. (studio)

I attended the member meeting so that is why I chose BLT. THe Merry Mixer was also held at BLT.

That said, I booked AKV for this Dec. to save points. I really preferred to be closer to Epcot because that is where I spent most of my time with CP, and the other holiday activities and concerts at Epcot. I know AKV is not an Epcot resort, but the AKV busses take about the same amount of time and I am saving points and have more resort amenities I like.

The monorail closed a couple of time due to weather so something to keep in mind.
