Hi, I happen to be VERY good friends with the Maniac, his wife and 2 kids. He isn't a fraud...nor a troll. He is not here to promote his wrestling career. He happens to LOVE Disney and Universal. Yes he does go to Disney several times a week...he has the luxury of doing that. I do not know when these boards have gotten so judgemental that someone comes and voices their opinon that they are automaticly a troll.
I hope ths thread doesn't poof away before people read this...I just thought that everyone should know that he is actually a really nice man.

yeah I read some of his stuiff. he is not a troll but these boards are kinda touchy. A little too much at times but no where NEAR as bad as boards like Chattarock or themeparkreview (teh worst) for being too strict to enjoy yourself and get info you need.

Was he banned or somthing? If so they need to reconsider it adn send him an apology!

No he wasn't but people on here have been getting pretty nasty to him...... Since he is a good friend...I wanted to defend him.

To be fair the posts he started were almost all negative and complaining. Usually someone with 20 posts and is posting all these negative things is a troll. Disney is a happy place.

I understand that negitivity can cause that BUT we all have to understand that there are negitives and possitives about EVERYTHING EVEN DISNEY! I love hiking and could talk all day about the pros of it but if I only talk about the pros I wouldnt be 100 percent honest. I would have to also talk about the bugs, the mosquitos, the stress on your body on certain trails, the dangers of falling rock, the risk of animal attack etc etc etc. Negitives should be welcomed just as much as positives for an HONEST opinion! Dont be so hard on somone wanting to tell the truith, we dont have too many people on this earth still wanting to be honest so we should cherish them instead.

Well I am a WWE fan and i dont think he is a troll and he has his right to his own opinion... Like it has been stated there are subjects that are touchy on here and alot of times i just choose to keep my opionions to myself and go about my planning on my Disney trips... I envy that he the means to go to the parks everyday or a few times a week but that does not mean that I am going to get nasty about it ,, it just means that i have to work a little bit harder on my degree in Hotel managment si hopefullt I caan get a job with disney or close to it....... And I read the thread about the wheelchairs and how he thinks they are being abused and maybe he was there when somebody may have abused it but i have been to disney And they are really strict about there rules...There are always people that will get away with things but you have to pick and choose your battles i guess....There are many people out there that may look like they dont need it but who are we to make that call... So tell him to keep on posting and not all of us here are so quick to judge..... I to have had to be the OP with alot flames thrown at me but I just go on doing what I need to do and dont let that bother me becuase everybody is entitled to their own opinions thats what makes this place so great.....

Indeed, and I think the correct spelling is opinion.

While some of my answers to posts with questions can be taken as snarky... the answers are never the less (usually) accurate. And in thousands of posts I have never inspired a thread, "RE: WildeOscar"

There is a funny quote about having an opinion... you expressed yours, I expressed mine. Did your chime in on this thread further the discussion? Or move the topic forward? And what are the words to the happy banana song? And what makes a banana happy? Bananas get their skin ripped off and then they are eaten... I would think they live their lives in fear.

I never made a thread "RE: CANNONBALLER" but I am not interesting. Bannanas are though adn EVERY monkey should have one!

The quote about about opinions is funny (I know this of which you speak) but whats funnier is adding another word instead of opinions, like bannanas or well you get the idea. I know I know its not near as funny as adding the words "in bed" after the reading of a fortune cookie but its somthing.

I'm all about free speech, but he does need to remember that this is a friendly place to discuss Disney comments/issues/concerns/opinions. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I'm sure he didn't say the things he said to purposely flame or harass people.

He seems like a pretty straightforward guy, he just might need to tone it down just a bit when posting here.

Why did he ask is mother to write this. Can he not stand up for himself? I AM JUST KIDDING! I have no issues with him. Some of the questions he ask are questions that I have had but I think the problem some people have i the wording of his questions. Being fairly new to the boards he will get the hang of "wording".

My hunch is that he's a good guy. Maybe he sticks his foot in his mouth sometimes, (something *I* would never do ), but a good guy. I think he's someone who can admit when he's wrong. I hold that in much higher regard than people who are snarky and belittling (again, something *I* would never do ).

Maniac, hope you stick around and keep posting. Seems you can learn some things here, and with your frequent visits, you'll have things to share with us. And your boys are adorable.

I was going to say something like this as well. With message boards (as with any group of people in real life too), sometimes it's best to judge the temperature of the pool before jumping right in. Doesn't mean you have to, of course, but sometimes it's a good plan to hang around a bit before posting things that might be controversial. Or figure out what is controversial in a particular group. Again, that doesn't mean you can't have an opinion about it and the end result might be the same!

Some people here are just way too sensitive as well..if someone disagrees with them, God forbid.

I personally think they should have an 18+ board here. Many other forums I frequent have this. You still get your ultra-PC types there too, but you have a little more freedom to express opinions without the "internet nannies" making a stink over every post.
