Re-stuffing Sofa Cushions??

I have a 4yr old Sofa and Loveseat that the back pillows/cushions have gone awfully lumpy on. The store where purchased say tooo bad...soo what can I do?

They measure 25x25 inches and I was thinking of opening them up and putting a Euro sized pillow inside, but they are 26x26...so some squishing would be in order and that might not make them look good anyways?

I can buy more foam--fiberfill--whatever, but I don't sew so does anyone know of a place that will do this?

They are pretty ugly about now...any tips appreciated.

My last couch was like this and what do u know I swore I would never get another sofa with cushions that I would have to fill because they went lumpy and I did. lol

If your cushions do not have zippers I would see if you could take them to a seamstress or tailor and they can imput a zipper into the cushions. Mine had zippers so I don't know how much this would cost. You can buy the fibrefill at Walmart or any fabric store. It's not very much for a huge bad. You can also buy the big slabs of foam and have them cut to size. I believe I have seen the foam at a re-upholstery place.

Have you tried a place that sells futons?? They might be able to help you.

I hadn't thought of a place that sells futons? Good idea..time to let my fingers do the walking!!!

I could also try a seamstress...I had Cleanol look at them when they were quoting for furniture cleaning and they wanted $150 per cushion and there are 8 of them! YIKES, that adds up!

If I could get the zippers put in them (no, there aren't any) that might open up some possibilities for me.

I had a slab of foam measured at about $40.00 but really cannot remember where. I know that doesn't help you at all. If I see it advertised again I will let you know.
