If you want BWV, I would buy a resale there. That's what we did. I would not offer less than the asking price if it's a contract you really want. I mean, what does $1 less a point really come to anyway? We paid asking price for our BWV contract through the Timeshare Store. Everything went very smoothly and we passed ROFR quickly. The people are great there. I would reccomend them to anyone.
BTW, our guide also really, really pushed SSR and told us our odds of being able to buy a resale were slim. If I had not read these boards I might have believed him. He warned us of ROFR and shady resale agents and basicly said he'd be expecting our call when the resale didn't work out! I'm not kidding.
We are very happy to have BWV as out home resort since we plan to use the 11 mos booking window for early Dec and Nov vacations.
We want to add on more BWV points in the near future and may do another resale with the Timeshare store if we can find one that works for us (points # and UY).
I'm sure SSR is really lovely and we plan to stay there someday, we just wanted to "own" an Epcot resort, so that's what we did. Good luck to you!
