Re-scheduling SW flight to take advantage of a DING airfare??

A Ding Airfare came out today and allthough these flights didnt' work for me ... if I get one that does how do you re-book with a ding fare?

I see how you can re-book / re-schedule a flight but it does not pull up the ding fares.

Am I correct in presuming you have to CANCEL then re-book??

That is kinda scary!

When I've done it in the past, I open two windows on Explorer and get into the screens of cancelling one in one internet window and rebooking with the Ding fare on the other window. As soon as I cancel one, I then go put the cancelled ressie number into the ding rebooking screen of the second internet window. I've never had a problem, but I'll admit, my heart is pounding the whole time I'm doing it.

One thing to remember - is if you have prepaid for them to check in for you, that will be lost when you cancel and rebook.

When you "change" due to a price drop, it remains in effect, but cancellation voids it, and you don't get your $ back.
