?? re porches at OKW

Do the porches on the 2 BRs at OKW have outside overhead fans? If I remember correctly, aren't they at least covered porches, and thus out of the sun? We're going to OKW Memorial Day week when I'd expect it will be rather hot sitting outside, and I was trying to remember if the porches had overhead fans.

Yes, there are overhead fans on them. These patios are another reason why OKW wins the resort comparisons. Those decks are a real nice size. Even the studios have a decent sized patio.

They are covered porches with ceiling fans. The tables are large and the 2 bedroom units have 4 chairs out on the porch.

As previously stated, the porches are covered. However, they are not necessarily out of the sun. Sun/no sun will depend on the time of day and orientation of your porch.

...and yes, OKW wins the DVC porch competition hands down!

The porch also has a light. Making it a pleasant evening spot.

Just returned from 5 days at OKW in a Dedicated 2 bedroom. It was wonderful!

There is evening sun on some of the porches and in the summer time, it's pretty hot! But, once the sun goes down, and with the overhead fun, it's lovely! I prefer a unit with the morning sun and evening shade. I love having my morning coffee and my bagel and peanut butter on the porch! Gosh, it seems like forever since I've sat on my OKW porch

Ya know ? I have not yet stayed in an OKW building that overlooks the golf course. I have always requested a water view and gotten it. My last stay, July '02, was in a 2 bedroom in bldg 43---water view with lots of ducks ! Which brings me to a question......what do most people prefer ? Water vs golf course view ?

water view! yes looking out from the balcony watching the birds eating my breakfast or dinner.

all the balcony/patios have outside lights - which I miss when I do to the other DVC resorts - the studios don't have fans - only the 1-bedroom and up are big enough for the fans.

the size of the studio balcony is about the size of the other DVC resorts balcony.

I like both and have had both. I find the golfer's a constant source of amusement. I also just love the birds, bunnies and other wild life.

We were in Building 13....Golf Course view with a little pond with a fountain in the middle....We loved this view

I don't care about the view!! I just used the patio to store wet shoes, umbrellas, ponchos, etc.

We like building 13 too!!! Water AND golf!

There's a par three island green hole by Miller's road that's a lot of fun to watch too.

I choose the golf view every time.... but then again, I live on a lake, so that probably explains it.... Either way all the views I've seen at OKW are lovely.
