is this a good deal? You get 2 large and 2 small per order. I bid $10, was accepted and shipping is $4.99 per order. so, for $29.98 , including shipping, I got 8 large cubes and 8 small cubes..

Looks like it to me. You won't get the medium ones, or different colors, but the price is great!! I'd get some, too, but we want different colors for each person.

Different colors are good for each person but can also be useful for organizing your own stuff.

Magellan's, an online travel store, has a set of their own branded three packing cubes for $15 (regularly $20 but a sale is going on).

The set is two mediums ("normal" sized packing cubes, good for t-shirts, underwear, socks, etc) and one large (can handle lots of little stuff or a few shirts and pants). And there are three colors to choose from

The Magellan's are mesh so they are mostly see thru on all but the bottom, making it easier to identify contents. However I have found the mesh can get caught on non-clothing items so I wouldn't recommend these for keeping things like electronics. The cubes are very flexible so they will form to the shape of the items back in them and have very little structure on their own.

I used these for a while but eventually I wanted a bit more structure so I got some Eagle Creek cubes, but my DGF took my mesh ones and uses them for her own packing.
