? RE: Mac Techno

1. What is difference between Mac Techno XT & Classic?

2. How can I find weights of 2005 models as Mac only has 2006 models? I find that most baby websites have incorrect information, so I don't trust them either.

3. Are the Mac Technos really heavy? I love my Triumph, but I want to purchase a Techno as well, but am worried about how heavy it is?

4. Is it suitable for a newborn?

From reading descriptions at babydealz the Classic comes with the boot. We live in Texas so that's obvioulsly not needed! That's the only difference I saw.

It says it weighs 17lbs and that feels about right. I love mine. Are your hands affected badly with the OA? The latch on the side that locks it could be tight if you have bad problems with your thumb. Is there any store or boutique near you that you could try the latch?

I put my 2mo in it and he was very comfy. I like the extendable leg rests for the babies. It says it's good for newborns.

We bought a 2006 Techno XT a couple of weeks ago, and we LOVE it!! It states that it weighs 14.5 lbs., and I don't find it too heavy at all. My DD is 13 months old and seems very happy in it. She loves the extendable leg rest feature. It seems like a newborn would be able to be comfortable in it. I agree with the prior poster, that the latch to lock it when closed can be a bit "hard" to clasp. I'd definitley go to a store to try it out first, if possible. We did that at Babies R Us, and then bought it online from tinyride for about $30 cheaper!
I loved the fact that when it is folded, I can carry the stroller in one hand and the baby in the other!! Couldn't do that with my Graco Quattro!
