Hi,
Wondering if any of the deluxe resorts, especially the Contemporary, have playgrounds onsite? Trying to plan activities for our non park days with very little kids. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

According to WDW.com these are the hotels that have playgrounds.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort
Disney's BoardWalk Inn Resort
Disney's BoardWalk Villas
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Disney's Wilderness Lodge
The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
Disney's All-Star Music Resort
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
Disney's Pop Century Resort
Disney's Old Key West Resort
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Where's the playground at these? I've missed them (though not having a kid till now, have never looked for them). I'm staying at the BWV and would love to utilize the playground. Any pics? And this is aside from the pool stuff, right?

They do all have playgrounds but they are on the small side and for the small fry!

The values have much nicer playgrounds than the deluxes. Deluxes are fairly small.

the best is at coronado. it's right next to the main pool and the arcade, pools bar, and snackbar (also a hot tub, but I didn't put that in the mix, casue really hot tubs aren't for little kids).
it's a big playground, and everything so close (oh yeah water slide, too)

The Contemporary use to have a playground, however it got taken away a long time ago.

That is correct. When it was up, it was all metel and in the sun. Didn't make for very fun play.

WL has a very nice playset right on the beach. When my dd was little, we loved walking around FW. We'd see the horses, go for a pony ride, see the farm animals, etc. In the evening, they have a campfire w/ Chip & Dale. You can purchase supplies to make somores if you like.

Pretty sure the poly has no playground and neither does the grand Floridian. I've stayed at both with small children and never saw one. Animal kingdom lodge (Jambo) has a good playground near the pool. I think its the best of the deluxes. Fort wilderness is another good one.

At the BW, it's at the far end of Luna Park towards the path to DS.

Thanks for the replies. so many websites have out of date info on this type of stuff. Glad to hear from people who have been before because even WDW website has out of date info on it.

As far as I know there is no playground equipment at the Poly. You can, however, play in the sand by the lagoon. There is no swimming allowed in the lagoon but I have seen little kids on the waters edge building sand castles and such. It looked like a fun time!

when we visited once, Port Orleans Riverside had the best play area, but I don't know if it's still up. Poly, GF definitely don't, and I don't recall one at Wilderness Lodge. Fort Wilderness has a cute one on the beach, plus a couple more inside the campground (but they won't be easy to get to). Where are you staying? When my kids were little, we enjoyed non park days by playing mini golf, catching a movie at DTD, playing at the lego store at DTD, and exploring Ft. Wilderness. How old are your kids?

No playground at the monorail resorts. We were just at the poly and asked the front desk where it would be located since it was on the website.... we were told no monorail resort had one. The closest to the poly was at WL.

Our kids had a great time at the AKL playground last summer.

We are staying at the Beach Club for the first time this summer. I would love any info. re: their playground facilities.

When we were at the BWI, we went down to Luna Park with the intention of swimming and checking out the playground equipment. It's right there at the pool. My son, who was 3 at the time, had absolutely no interest in the playground because of the pool. It was so darn hot anyway, I was glad he wanted to swim instead. Just warning you that if you're at the BWI your kids might find the pool too tempting so be ready to swim when you go down there.

last time I saw, the playset at the BC was a small one, right near the little round baby pool and the sand bottom part of the pool complex (which is amazing for little kids!) The playset was nothing spectacular, but a nice distraction for the toddler/prek kids for a little while.
