My daughter asked me 'how many' it was now? And when I said their were Nine Killed but eleven shot --- it just brought a chill over me ----- 9-11 -- And this is the longest we've gone without an incident. Is it just coincidence - or could it mean something?

The newscasters have been having a field day with this since the news has been slow lately, knock on wood.

Holding up with extreme caution, here, Lars. 3rd straight week of the kids not going outside, so to say they are stir crazy would be putting it mildly.

You have all been in my thoughts everytime a report comes on the TV about the sniper.
I feel for you & for the kids...I can't imagine having my three trapped inside for 3 weeks...they'd be climbing the walls.

I have been saying that for a few days now to DH & co-workers, but was really hesitant to bring it up here.

He's 9 for 11. And appears to be done? I hope so.

But what does it mean exactly, if anything? He hasn't given many other clues.

And if even just one of the victims hadn't died, his whole count would have been off.

I dunno...it's only a coincidence when you say it like "9 killed, but 11 shot".

Personally I always go for the attempts first so I would say "He shot at 11, but only killed 9". Kinda like a batting average.

If this isn't a coincidence that means the shooter shot to only wound two of the victims.

I think this is a very interesting coincidence. I hope this person <b>has</b> finished.

This person(s) is quite sick. And the most terrible of all, is that the authorities are afraid that he may have to strike again to obtain additional clues. Very sad thing indeed.

Although 9 were killed and 11 shot, he did try again Friday and missed. This killer also takes weekends off. It seems that he has no means of obtaining a vehicle, or leading a double life.

Authorities found a rental truck with gun casings, so hopefully. for everyone, they find this individual and put a stop to these horrific situations.

Has anyone heard how the boy who was shot in the lower is doing?

I'm not sure where you get your information. I live in the DC area and I've heard nothing of another shooting since Falls Church. Could you please supply a little more info about this shooting?

As for the 9-11 theory, I don't believe it. There was a 12th shooting on Sept 14 in DC that has not been linked due to the fact that the bullet fragments were too small to positively link to the sniper. This was the first shooting, but did not receive the same media attention at the time. The victim survived. All of the circumstances are the same as with the other shootings. I believe this shooting will eventually be linked to the sniper at some point.

I really doubt that 9-11 has ANYTHING to do with this. I have heard several times on GMA that authorities have a several people - one in particular - that they are highly suspicious of.
I really think that this person is laying low right now...

I feel he intended to kill all of the people he shot, therefor 9/11 really has nothing to do with it. I believe he's laying low now because he left behind too much information in the last couple of shootings. Unfortunately I don't think it's over. I believe he'll continue until he's caught: dead or alive. Something tells me if he's caught while running from an assault, he won't be taken alive.
