RE: Customized maps not available to us Canucks

I sent an e-mail to the Disney website customer service regarding the maps not being available to Canadians. I'll update when I get a reply.
 
I know a lot of us will be waiting to see what they say.
 
I was going to wait and see what response you got but then figured I'd do the same and emailed them too. Maybe if enough of us request they might be willing to ship them to us to? It's a theory! I mentioned it would be nice and I was puzzled why there was no prob shipping the planning dvd's but no option for maps.
 
Can we have maps shipped to our hotel at Disney? I'm going there in two months.
 

I have an easy way out for this I just get them sent to my sister in PA and she mails them to me here.

That's my plan B :cool2: I have a friend in California who is willing to send them up for me, but I want MY name on the folder darnit! :laughing:

Which e-mail did you send it to? And do they reply through your e-mail or leave you a message on your disney website account, if that's possible?

TIA! I've never e-mailed disney before, so that's why I'm asking.
 
UPDATE: It's been 24 hours, and still no response... They're probably busy.

I actually put my name on it and use their address so it comes addressed to me just to their addy in PA.

I'd wait at least another day, give them some time to respond :)
 
Well, no luck from my attempt. Looks like I got a form letter. My initial email:
Good afternoon! I've been playing around with the customized map
feature
on your vacation planning site. It looks amazing by the way. The only
option I'm seeing is to print though, not to have them mailed out to
me.
I was really hoping I could receive a copy as they look so much nicer
than a printed version would (if I even HAD a printer). I'm assuming
this is because I'm in Canada? I'm just puzzled why maps can't be
shipped up but the planning dvd was no problem?

Guests registered on disneyworld.com must be 18 years or older and live
in the United States to order Maps for home delivery. If you do not
qualify for home delivery you may still create, save and update your
Customized Maps and print them out at home.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number
if
applicable on all correspondence.

I still haven't gotten a reply. I think I'll re-write one and send it to that e-mail address you did.
 
I just got a reply today, it reads as follows...

Dear Jasmine,

Thank you for your reply about not being able to get the customized maps for your upcoming Disney vacation. We are aware, that at this time, this is just being offered to residents of the USA.

We thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and know we have forwarded your comments with our executive offices. This may be something that will happen in the future since this is a new program but at this time it is not available.

We appreciate your understanding!

Oooh! Good for you! :) You got farther ahead than I did. I gave in and switched my mailing address to that of my American friend and went ahead and ordered the maps that way. I mean really... if it's a matter of postage and handling I'd be willing to pay them! hehehe... although what I really don't understand is why they have no trouble shipping us the dvd's.

I also wrote and asked why we could not receive the maps since they didnt mind taking our money for vacationing in Disney. I received the same reply as Disjointed. What the heck kind of answer is that!!!
It looks like alot of people were asking!!!! Still no changes

I emailed asking if I could have one delivered to POP where we will be staying. I will let you know what they say.

The DVD's apparently come from within Canada or so they say.
