What 2br room (either lock out or dedicated) would be closest to BC (and its amenities, like SAB, restaurants, etc.)?

And for that proximity, what would the view from the room be?

We are looking at a short stay at BCV before / after our next long trip to BWV. Our main goal is to utilize SAB and CApe May, B&C, other BCV amenities. Just wondering how close we could be to those facilities, what we would put in as our "request", and if so, what would the resulting view be. The view doesn't matter so much in this case, but we are curious!

Also -- has anyone ever had a villa right above a smoking room, and if so (and you are a NS preference), was it an issue? WOuld you find it better on a 3rd floor villa, since most all S villas at BCV are on the 4th?

THANKS for any/all input! :)

Sorry but i can only comment on the location of BCV to SAB as I am a lifeguard at SAB and do not know the exact location to all the room numbers. Within the three resort areas that are allowed to use SAB, the BCV is the furthest away out of all three. The quickest way to get there is to walk through the BC lobby area to SAB. There is a covered outside walkway that connects the BC and BCV that you walk through to get to one another and if you want to be really close to SAB then i would suggest requesting a room near that area. The views from the BCV are not going to be the best in the world and of course the higher up you are in the building then the better your view will be.

I hope this helps

The rooms closest to the main elevators would be your best bet.

X20/X22 - Woods/Wetlands view
X29/X27 - Woods/Wetlands view
X30/X28 - Pool View
X10/X12 - Pool View
X19/X21 - Courtyard (Between BC and BCV) View

All the above rooms are within a few feet of the main elevators.

Your best bet would be to request a room close to the main elevators.

Having just returned from a stay at BCV, I really don't think any rooms are THAT far from anything. It's not a HUGE resort so I wouldn't be overly concerned with room location. I THINK there are only one set of elevators for BCV (am I correct?) so you'd want to be closest to those in order to minimize your distance to everything else. I also think (am I correct here, also?) that there is only one entrance to BCV (by the elevators) so it really doesn't matter where you're at in relation to SAB or BC, but rather in relation to the elevators.

I could be wrong, though, but that is the impression I got during my stay.

Pam

by the way...it's a fabulous resort and I wouldn't have cared where our room was located!!!

Pam, no there are actually 2 areas where there are elevators. The "main" elevators are where you first walk in (there are actually 2 elevators there) and then there is another elevator further down around the middle of the resort that takes you right down to a door that leads out to Dunes Cove Pool. As far as doors go, there is the one mentioned above that takes you out near Dunes Cove Pool, which is also a great door to take to walk over to the bus stop and also there are several doors throughout whereever there are stairs, at the end of each hallway.

Wow...I didn't even notice and it seemed we walked around quite a bit! More reason for me to go back soon so I can see what I missed!!!

Request something close to the main elevators/main entrance of the BCV. The you take the elevaotr down to the main entrance(or walk down the hall if you end up on the first floor), walk under the covered walkway, through the lobby of the BC, and over to SAB. It's not a hugely long walk.

As far as view, depending on what side of the building you wind up on, you could have woods/wetland or parking lot/main entrance.

As an FYI, we stayed in room 134, a 2BR(I don't know if it was dedicated or not...can't remember!) which had the patio doors which opened onto the quiet pool and wasn't terribly far from the ain entrance to get to SAB. It is probably the best located room I've ever stayed in at WDW. It was nice to pop out the sliders and over to the hot tub at the drop of a hat!!!

There's not that much difference with respect to distance from BC and SAB. First floor rooms are obviously the closest because you don't need the elevator. I've heard that you can hear the elevators from some rooms -- so I'd be hesitant to get a room too close to them.
