RD TSMM or A2S?

So reading about SDD RD craziness, I kind of don't want to bother. I don't have a FP, but maybe I can get one from refreshing, maybe not, but I'm not sure lining up over and hour early to potentially be trampled is worth it.

Here's my question, if I still go at RD(get there close to 30 minutes early?), should I head for TSMM or A2S first? I read a lot of different reports. TSMM has more capacity which makes me think A2S but there seems to be a lot of different opinions on that.

Also, if I hit TSMM and A2S, what are my chances of reasonable waits on ToT and RnR?

AS2 is pretty short, so I would head to that, do it twice, then TSM.
If you get there 30 minutes early, you can just hang out toward the back of the RD crowd, let the mob head to SDD, then you can calmly head to AS2 and TSM.

We were there MLK week so a little more crowded, and went on an EMH morning to RNRC, TOT (we glanced to go back to RNRC and it was up to 65 minutes), then Star tours. We had FP for later in the week, but decided to walk over to TSL just to check it out. SDD was something like 190 minutes, TSM was 100, Swirl was 35. We waited maybe 25-30 for swirl.

As for TSM or AS2 first, I'd probably do TSM since my experience was that AS2 wasn't too bad of a wait. Personally, I'd go to RNRC, TOT, then over to TSL because you should be able to do AS2 with lower waits (but may miss out on TSM). But I'd rather ride those than TSM.

It was a fun ride. I was actually surprised, I had more fun that it looks. I wouldn't wait really long for it though, about up to a half hour.

I would do TSMM first because it will have a longer wait. Then you could head over to AS2 after and ride it.

I've been watching the rope drop wait times for TSM and AS2 the past month or so, and the wait for TSM consistently builds faster (though not by much), so we are planning to do TSM first, and then AS2.

We did this on Jan 30. We were there about 8:20am and were right in the middle of the pack waiting. It was also an Early morning magic morning so the land was already up and running. Rope dropped at 8:45ish. We headed straight to TSMM. Walked the queue and was walking up the stairs and down the stairs to the loading platform inside without stopping. Was off the ride by 9:05sh. Headed to AS. Waited a total of 3 ride cycles before we were on. Was off the ride by 9:30 in time for our 9:30 SDD FP. I’d say that was pretty successful.

The real trick here was there was no hesitation and didy daling during the rush to Toy Story Land. Walk with a vengeance and once you get there go straight in line. Any 3 minute hesitation at that point adds another 15 to your wait.

I wouldn’t think they would be too bad. Most people would still be in toy story land. I guess it depends what time of year you go.

We ended up with a 4th FP for AS2, so we were able to do it. I enjoyed it, and my son went twice (used his dad's FP). No way I'd wait in a long line for that short ride, though.

We ended up RDing SDD and had FPs for TSM. We also did a walk-on for TSM right after SDD. It was a 45 min wait, but that ride's certainly worth it.

How was it RDing SDD? How early did you get to DHS and how long did you wait once you got to the ride? We go in two weeks and I am not sure it is worth the RD craziness to do SDD with my 10 year old who is still a little unsure about roller coasters (I think she would be fine on SDD but she won't care about missing it). We have FPs for TSM and will do AS2 as one of our first rides.

It's worth it! The kids and I really enjoyed SDD and would have done it twice if we could. Also, we were there on a crowd level 10 day, if that helps.

We were there at 8am and lined up back to the ticket sales, but only 4 rows. At 8:05ish, they opened 2 more tapstiles. At 8:15 they had us going into the park, but we had to stop right at the first stop light. At 8:30ish they moved us up to the Sunset Blvd cut off and told those people to head on over to RR if they wanted. Almost no one moved. By 8:50, we were moving and through the arch, where they let us fend for ourselves and start a line. We were done by 9:15, but it was a nerve-wracking wait until you got to the proper queue.

We did TS right after that and it was a 45 min wait... pretty accurate. What surprised me was after that, at 10ish, we headed to ST and that had a 45 min wait. The entire queue right around the trees was in use. We did that and it was lunch time, by then.

Anyway, definitely needed to be there early if you wanted to ride SDD without a 105-135 min wait.

AS2 is just an ok attraction IMHO. I wouldn’t wait more than 15/20 minutes for it. If you can’t do it, no big deal.

Last fall, we rode SDD at RD, then AS2 and TSMM. We were in line for RnRC at 9:15. It was about a 10 minute wait.
Then used our FP for RnRC. Walked over to ToT, had about a 15 minute wait.
So depending on crowds, your plan should work.
