Just seen that the DVC/RCI exhange options have been posted on the DVC website. Having had a quick look I have to say that my overall impression is disappointment both in terms of the properties that have been made available and the points cost required for an exchange. To give you an example..there is just one property in the whole of France!!

Very disappointed with how this has been handled having enjoyed a number of exchanges in the past both through II and Club Intrawest. To me this looks like a backward step and certainly hasn't impressed me. The costs will put off many people and coupled with a poor choice this looks like a disaster

Yeah, have to say that I'm also disappointed. All the available properties in Spain are in Malaga only and as you said, only one available for France.
You also have to contact DVC if you want to arrange nightly exchanges whereas you could book short stays online with II

Macdonald are also II resorts though. I'm in an II affiliated resort and am quite disappointed at the switch, (we're exchanging to OKW this year as a farewell!), but the quality of the II resorts I've stayed at is superior to the RCI ones I've used or visited.

I'm really disappointed too, seeing how many options RCI has in Europe, Asia and Africa the selection is minimal to say the least. I understand DVC wants to maintain quality standards but I'm sure there are more 5 star resorts in places other than the US.

Maybe I'll just have to do the exchange myself.

We were hoping to visit friends in Alicante next year but since all the RCI resorts offered are in Malaga, guess we won't be going

I dare say i'll try out the UK resorts at some point. Just hope they are of a good standard.

Has anyone ever stayed at any RCI resorts?

We have a timeshare in Malta and have exchanged into many RCI resorts over the years

We've never stayed anywhere that wasn't absolutely lovely (transferred several times to properties in Florida) but the choice doesn't seem as good as it used to be and the 'points' value is definitely less than when we initially joined and had 'weeks' to exchange

Trying to find a UK resort to transfer to has always seems nigh on impossible but then we're tied to school hols
