RCI Trading Question

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not but ... Does anyone have any idea what the exchange value would be for an Occidental Vacation Club Gold membership? It never occurred to me before to consider exchanging some of our OVC time for a DVC stay but we are supposed to be able to do that through RCI. Unfortunately, all that RCI stuff is like a foreign language to me. I suspect it would "cost" too many points in relation to what we could bank but wondering if anyone actually has knowledge/experience in this area. When I asked an OVC rep about it, he had no clue (they're typically very helpful but not on this issue).

if you have an RCI membership, you should be able to run a week through their trade power calculator to get the value for your week. it would need to be around 42-45 to qualify for a DVC week if you are in RCI weeks (not sure if you are in RCI points.) i can tell you my educated guess is that trading OVC for DVC will not be an option.

AI resorts are notoriously low traders, esp for MX. I don't think it's as bad for say Aruba. You'll definitely need to check on how this works for your system. I'd go on TUG and see if you can find info or someone who knows more on that subject.
