RCI Trade - Next Summer

I'm thinking of putting in for an RCI trade for next summer... it will be our 15th Anniversary, and we're thinking about sneaking off without DS again. Are there any recommendations for a nice trip for DH and I? Right now we're in the beginning stages of planning, so we're still open. Dh was thinking maybe San Diego, I've been thinking someplace tropical. We've been to Cancun a couple times... Royal Caribbean. And loved-loved it, but unfortunately the Royal Resorts are no longer an option... not to mention, I think DH is thinking someplace NEW. Any and all ideas are welcome!

We just got back from 8 days at the Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas (sans kids) and it was totally amazing. The resort was awesome, clean, and had a terrific ocean view. We stayed in a one bedroom for 160 points. Bed was comfy, had a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms. TONS of room.

The Royal Mayan and VCI are both with RCI as well as II. I'd suggest you consider other top MX resorts in Cabo, PV, Cancun and surrounding areas. Also look at the Caribbean including Aruba, St. Martin & the Cayman's. Any good US beach areas for MB, Charleston, HH, FL beaches, or similar would be good. Then there's New Orleans, Branson, Gatlinburg and many others. It really depends on what you like and your budget.

I'm not sure I'm 'as interested' in those options RM VCI Dean, but thanks. I would howeverL OOOOVE the Royal Haciendas. We've done Cancun the last 2 times, and would like to experience other areas of MX next. You always have great advise, are there any other locations in MX that you could recommend in Cabo, PV, PDC... maybe the carribean or other coastal areas, that would be compable t DVC or Royals?

My first suggestion would be the brand new wyndham in San Francisco. It is well located and a great place to stay. Right in the heart of things. It is also available through RCI, I stayed there as a wyndham owner and had a great time. Feel free to ask if you had specific questions.

I don't want to be isolated at the resort so not much interested in the RH or GM in that area. However, I'd think one should be able to get it from SFX or TPI fairly easily if desired. Cabo is nice but I'd suggest PV over Cabo given a choice between the 2 though I could also agree with listing both top choices and taking which one came up.
