My MIL has quite a bit of points available thru RCI and has offered to let us us some for a stay at a DVC resort. I don't know what the reservation window is for RCI points used for a DVC resort. Anyone know?
Also, inventory comes and goes---it's not all there at 10 months. So, you may have to check back from time to time if your desired exchange isn't there right away.

Thanks Brian you just partially answered one of my questions, we checked for a two bedroom for the last week of may into the first week of June next year and there was NOTHING!!
True enough but we are talking nine months out, but I really don't know how RCI inventory works! Actually the only thing currently available was a one bdr at VWL.

9 months is relatively short notice in the timeshare world. DVC is a little bit of an outlier in that they tend to give RCI units on their schedule generally just after 10 & 7 months out are some of the more active times, keep checking.
That late May/early June time isn't usually too hard---especially if you are not too picky about resort. I'd keep looking. If you don't find one by about the six month mark or a little less, it will probably be time to have a plan B.
