RCI exchange question

I have put in an exchange request (for a 2 bedroom, pixie dust please) for late Jan/early Feb 2015. I know it is early, I just wanted to be at the top of the list.

Does anyone have a clue when the exchanges for this timeframe may begin to happen?

Which direction are you trying to exchange? From DVC, out via RCI? Or from outside into DVC via RCI?

It makes a huge difference.

Oh, sorry, I am trying to get into DVC, hoping to stay at Disney World on the Property last week of Jan/First week of Feb. Thanks!

The earliest you can expect a match is seven months prior to check in. And, these days, even that might be aggressive. My upcoming early April stay was confirmed in early December.

As you are looking for a 2BR, you should be as flexible as possible about resort choice.

Thank you so much!! I will be very flexible, as I don't think there is a bad DVC (especially for the exchange fee I pay and I would be in a mod/value if this wasn't an option). However, If I see a FD offer before I get a confirmation, I will be making that ressie too so I have both options. I am secretly hoping for AKL again, as that is where we went last time and I LOVED it.

Now to be patient, which is NOT one of my qualities, especially when talking about going back to Disney.
