RCI exchange Christmas Week 2007

I have on hold for RCI, a one bedroom, full kitchen at Vacation Village at Parkway for Christmas week 2007. Should I just confirm this resort, or do any of you think that other, better resorts such as Vistana Villages or OLCC will pop up on RCI in the future. What are the chances of seeing anymore Gold Crown Resorts show up for this very popular time?

I am an RCI Points member and I just checked for availability at OLCC and they have Studios for check in on 12/22/07 and two bedroom units for check in on 12/21-23/07. You might want to call RCI if it is not showing up on the weeks system.

OLCC may or may not show up "as much" on RCI anymore since they are moving to a points system called Global Access ( Orange Lake Family of Resorts ie West Village, North Village, East Village and River Island ), which will layer between OLCC and RCI, the end result is that OLCC is trying to wrestle back control of inventory ( they do control where exchangers are assigned )

it was stated somewhere ( not sure of its factuality ) but OLCC only plans now to give RCI inventory with less advance time eg 3 months

but, i cannot see how the inventory that RCI has now in its control can be "taken back"

right now, for us, similar to the above poster, we can see studios, 1 bedrooms and two bedrooms for check in between 12 21 and 12 30 using rci weeks search
