Rci, Dvc & Ddp?

My dad has gifted us with his RCI timeshare week. I see on the RCI.com site that they now include all the DVC locations, including "Villas at Wilderness Lodge" and "Wilderness Lodge Villas" -- are those two different places???

My real question is this: I'm going to call RCI and begin a "search" for a week at VWL. If we are able to get a week that fits our schedule, can we add the Disney Dining Plan even though my father is not a DVC member, but instead is an RCI member?

It's all a little pie in the sky, but it would make our budget planning easier if I knew if we could partake in the DDP.

Yes, you can.

Before you enter the search, ask the RCI rep to see if the deposit "sees any DVC weeks at any of the resorts". (They will know what this means.) If they don't then you may have a trade power problem, and may not be able to exchange into a DVC resort. In that case, you should have a backup plan in mind.

Thanks, Brian! I'll be sure to do that! The week is supposed to have good trading power, but it may not be up to Disney standards!
