RCI and 2019 points banked to 2020

I have 2019 points that were banked into 2020. My use year is October.

Can these points be converted to RCI ? If so, when do I need to do so by?

How much of a pain is it to use RCI points? Looks like there’s lots of fees and restrictions but it’s better than letting them expire. We did look into renting them out but it looks like the market is flooded with points to be rented out.

I was told you need to deposit no later than 46 days before end of UY. RCI is easy to use. You can look over on tug2.net under forums to get advice. I'd log into RCI and see what they have available for you. There are a number of very nice resorts, such as Hilton Grand Vacation Clubs, and as well as many that are lower quality than DVC IMHO. But, sometimes, I'd take a lower quality for a great destination.
There are tons of decent resorts in Hilton Head, even for summer. Smugglers Notch Resort in VT is a great family resort with tons to do. We also liked the Welk Resort in Escondido CA. Try to book at least 10 months out for best selection. some units only show at 10 months, others up to 2 years out, but usually at 12-16 months out. good luck.
