RCCL Mariner anyone?

OH.........that will NEVER work. My dd's won't sleep together. (my oldest is 11 & it grosses her out to sleep with her 9 year old sister!).

Guess I will book connecting promenade staterooms!!

Thank you for your answer!!

Another example is an Alaska 10 day Vision of the Seas Cruisetour I booked for June 2005 back in June of this year. Sadly I've had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts (well still going to Alaska but on Princess for 7 days out of Seattle) but the total price of that package has gone up 300.00 since I booked.

I've been on the Vision of the Seas through Mexico. Just wanted to warn you that it is not a Vogayer class ship. Just in case you book again. The ship interior is okay but just not modern and new. We enjoyed the food greatly on this ship much better than DCL especially at the main evening meal.

I'm glad to hear that my girls aren't the only ones who won't sleep together - LOL!

I think there are rooms on the Mariner that have a bunk bed but it does come down over the Queen bed. The sleeping arrangment is exactly what's holding me back. I don't want my son sleeping over my head! And I don't want DD4 and DS 11 to have to share a bed, neither would sleep! Booking 2 cabins causes the price to be the same or more as DCL as far as I can see. I would like to try the Mariner, it looks fun, but I don't see a great cabin option for us.:D

We have a triple room booked for the 2/27/05 Mariner and according to their site, the room has two twins (able to move together to make queen), and the sofa bed. As far as I know, this room does not have the beds in the ceiling/wall. I'm not sure I could sleep with someone so close over my head. I hope when we get onboard, the bed situation is what we expect!

DH and I are also sailing on the Mariner that week. (Along with 3 other couples). We have cruised DCL twice and had a wonderful time but the concensous was we should try something new. May have to go back to DCL one more time for the new itinerary with two days at Castaway Cay!

This is so great! As Lisa said--who would have thought you'd run into another cruiser on that ship--here on the DisBoards!

Do you post on Cruisecritic at all?

They have get togethers that they (cruiscritic) sponsors, you just need to have a total of twenty registered--sounds like we've got a LOT more than that. Lisa and her family are sailing with another family, and we also have another family sailing with us.
