Does anyone know where the closest Roman Catholic Church is from the POLY ????

From the Poly, exit the MK heading towards Fort Wilderness. Go past FW and then take a right onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy. After you pass Port Orleans, take a left onto Disney Vacation Club Way and follow the above directions from step 3.

Definitely Mary Queen of the Universe. Now I know some people will complain about things there so I'm going to try address the issues they'll bring up, lol.

Transportation: If you don't have your own or a rental vehicle you will need to arrange for taxi or van service. Make sure you give yourselves plenty of time. The shrine is large, lots of folks attend Mass so traffic can build up. Likewise for the return. I actually recommend letting most people leave before trying to get out of the parking lot. The light at Vineland and 535 gets congested easily so it is less aggravating to wait it out in the shop, museum or wandering the rosary garden.

Money: Hey, its a Catholic church. Yes there is going to be a collection. Two of them, actually. And yes they RELY on the contributions from these collections. There is no actual parish so all their funding is through the collections from the tourists. And to help visitors understand this, the priest will spend a few minutes at the beginning of Mass explaining their mission and requesting your help. Some people find this offensive. If you don't like it, pray silently during that time and tune out the priest. Easy enough. Also keep in mind that part of the reason the priest does have this brief talk at the beginning of the Mass is to allow latecomers to arrive without missing the the liturgy of the Word.

Other Notes: The Shrine is located right next to the Orlando Premium Outlets and down the road from a Publix supermarket. If you need to do any shopping, you may want to consider visiting the outlets or supermarket after Mass. If you don't have a car, the outlets are an easy walk, Publix is a bit further but not awful.

This is good to know. I try to go to Mass at least on Sunday morning when I'm travelling and have no problems with the collections. Is this part of local diocese? What times are Sunday morning or Saturday vigil mass? I have seen the church several times but have never gone.

The Shrine is part of the Diocese of Orlando, but it is a tourist ministry, not a parish. The ushers, EMEs and lectors are all volunteers from nearby parishes.

Regular weekend Mass times are Saturday(vigil) at 6pm and Sunday at 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am and 6pm. They usually have coffee and doughnuts following the 2 early Masses on Sunday.
