Razors

I think I asked this question before, but can't find the answer. Can we take shaving razors in our carry ons? The TSA site says "disposible razors and there cartridges are permited", but we have been told by someone they had theirs thrown away at the check point.

Disposable razors are permitted. Razor blades, box cutters, utility knives, etc. are not permitted. I'm not sure what to tell you about the person who said they had theirs confiscated. I've taken disposable razor blades through many, many times with no problems.

I've never heard of disposable razor blades/cartridges being discarded by TSA.
