I love my DVC.

I think next to my robot vaccum it is one of the best things ever.

Partially cause I am forced to vacation with my family more, partially cause I would not be able to get 1 bedrooms, or BC room consistently without it, and partially cause planning 3 trips in a given 12 month period gives me sooooo much to look forward too.

Best thing we ever did-even DH says so, and he's been only Disney-tolerant in the past. And I have to chuckle at the people who research it beforehand. For me, it was "Own a piece of Disney-I'm there!", even if it was a square inch of one door, that's how I felt about buying. And DH, who didn't even go on the tour, knew his best move was to say "You want to do it [whatever 'it' is]? Excellent idea!" He knows how to have a long and happy marriage. So it was a very lucky, unreasearched, large purchase.

Love love love my DVC. :lovestruc

It makes us actually take our vacations instead of talk about them, I really get into all the planning. And we can now share the Disney magic with extended family who might not otherwise be able to swing it - makes my heart feel good.

Love that they just made the RCI option that much easier with the online tool (not necessarily more available, but so much easier to see and understand). Very happy with our purchase!

I do think I want a robot vacuum cleaner now though, LOL!

I responded, "5." In my book, it is only "ok."

Compared to my other timeshares, I seem to allow DVC's rules to get under my skin in an unpleasant, itchy way. The UY/Banking guidelines are my most frequent grumble. I chose my UY based on my travel patterns to WDW -- but the decision works against me when using the newer properties in CA/HI where my travel dates are quite different. I dislike putting points at risk. Ugh.

We love our DVC. The only regret we have is that we should of done it sooner. We first bought in in 2010 at BLT and in 2011 we did an add on at SSR and we plan on adding on again sometime in the future. DH, who at first, was a little skeptical about the whole points thing, went on the tour and asked where is the dotted line to sign on. We love it because it allows us to vacation any time during the year (not have to wait for one particular week a year like our other timeshare, which we are in the process of selling because we want to be strictly DVC members) and we are also vacationing in our most favorite place...WDW :goodvibes. We also love the resorts that we have stayed in so far (BLT, SSR, BCVx2 and upcoming VGC). DH has said numerous of times that he wants to buy enough points so we can enjoy a few months during winter in one of our "homes" :cool1:.

I LOVE :love: DVC but could never change my name to dvcterry in real life. We'll just save that for here. ;)

We love DVC! We look at it as our vacation budget. If we want to do a cruise or something instead of WDW, we just rent the points. With the option of renting, DVC does not have to restrict you to a DVC resort. I do not have familiarity with other timeshares, but with DVC I know what I am getting and I do not need to worry about "questionable" resorts. Prior to buying DVC, I vowed I would never buy a timeshare. Now, I am so glad I own one!

Love it. We have been very happy with our purchase and our stays over the last 7 years.

We are a young family who have made disney a yearly thing since our son was 6 months. Our first 2 times were not DVC which was a bummer, now hes is 4 years old and we have a 1 1/2 year old, we wish we found out about DVC sooner. We have a trip at our home resort (SSR) for a week during Marathon weekend in January, our honeymoon in september at Aulani and a christmas vacation in november at a resort not choosen yet. Cram packed vacation year 2013 is but thats just how our Use Year fell.

2 thumbs up, 5 stars, 10 out of 10, 100%.

I too have a robot vacuum that I am enamored with but I think my DVC wins. We've only had it for 1 year so far and so far it's been great. My only problem is that even though we have already been 3 times this year for some reason I still want to go more, I really don't get it, once a year used to be more than enough. We call our robot vacuum Ramilda.

except for the feeling of addonitis. :)

This is me!!! I so want more points!!! Don't need them right now but keep telling hubby that most likely, next year, its in the cards for another 50 at BLT!!!

:thumbsup2 like Sandi I am hoping for another 50 in 2013. Dh loves it too. He was just ok until he looked across the savanna on that first trip. Now he says it was his idea... I had to hear it about the OL too until he saw me use it... Now he has his own. :woohoo: do I know how to work DH or what ?

We love our DVC and can't wait to use it in 16 days. It probably isn't the best thing I ever bought, and I don't think I have any material possession that I could not live without, but we totally love it! Now, when it comes to addonitis . . . I'm in trouble . . .

I cannot figure "OL"... What does it stand for

Well, DW and myself have both been retired for almost 7 years now. It has been tight, living on a fixed retirement income, but our three DVC contracts have made it possible for us to take 2-3 nice vacations a year. Usually 1-2 at WDW and 1 at HHI. We even did a Disney Magic cruise year before last on points. That is something we would never have done if we had had to pay out of pocket. We're very thankful we bought into DVC ten years ago. It has made our retirement much more exciting. We are headed back to WDW in two weeks for a week at AKV-Kidani followed by a stop at HHI on the way back home. I think we're about as excited about this trip as when we first started going to WDW many years back.
