I'd love to hear what is north of the Magic Kingdom.

Its wide open, I saw a lot of hillls, a stream and a railroad back there. Then again that was at the begining of one of the Disney movies I just went to.

I would have voted for Vero Beach were it a poll option!

Since that area is a backstage area that houses Cast parking, office buildings and the Company D building, and due to the facades at the MK, I seriously doubt there is a suitable area to be build a large resort. It is not a very attractive area back there.

As to building one near the MK, I am sure that will be addressed with an addition to the Contempoary sometime in the future. I can't see them building another resort near MGM when BW serves that location.

1. Bwv
2. Bcv
3. Okw
4. Vwl
5. Hhi
6. Vb
7. Ssr

1.OKW- anything but a studio is heaven for us
2.BWV- but only in a one or two bdrm B'walk view

3.VB- large rooms ask for Oceanview
4.VWL -love keeping the doors open and feeling outdoorsy
5.BCV- but only in a room facing away from the road
6.HH- nice resort I just wish it was oceanside
7.SSR- walked out on our reservation- too dark for us- we asked to be reassigned to OKW

I must add that I never want to be in a studio no matter where I stay.

1 OKW been membersm since it was the only DVC
2 VB founding members of VB the hidden jewel of DVC
3 SSR
4 BCV
5 VWL
6 BWV
7 HH Stayed there one time and just did not feel the magic

What would you buy into if you could do it all over again?

Let see what everyone would do.

1 being the best and 7 the worst.

(1) BCV - Location to Epcot for Dining, Stormalong Bay
(2) BWV - Location to Epcot for Dining
(3) VWL - Close to the Magic Kingdom
(4) VB - On the beach
(5) SSR - Don't like this one, to big for me
(6) OKW - Terrible reports, Scared to try it
(7) HHI - No appeal to me

1) OKW low points big rooms and beautiful theme taking advantage of the Florida weather. Feels like I'm on vacation there.

2) BCV - location and dining options of a deluxe + SAB

3) BWV - same as above

4) VWL - Easy access to MK and the best theme carried out and attention to detail.

5) VB - my favorite off site. Great Cm's the beach, on site dining all make it a realxing winner.

6) SSR - fine resort but doesn't do much for us. Large enough to get in so need to rank higher.
7) HHI - a "what were they thinking" Resort to our family. Won't catch me there.

1.SSR We have only stayed here but love it . It fits our family just great.
2.BWV We use to love going to OC Md. and this is just all about that.

Hey I'mNoPrince- I'm another Balt. area DVC owner (brand new SSR owner) and we go OC EVERY summer (my parents have a condo down there). We would stay all summer when I was a kid and I worked on the boardwalk every summer as a teen. I am so excited to try BWV- but I think they need a Thrashers stand. Our first trip home (ssr) will be next December- but BWV will definately be the 1st non-home resort I try for.

1) AKV - Love the resort, love Boma

2) SSR - Quieter, extra 12 years

3) OKW - Fewer points...realistically this placement is a guess since I haven't managed to stay there yet. Plus, what I really wish is that we'd bought in at OKW a decade ago. Oh well...

4) BCV - SAB, CMC

5) VWL - Great environment, great theming. (4 & 5 are relatively tied but it seems easier to get into VWL at 7-months than into BCV. Thus, if I'm thinking about what I wish I owned BCV is slightly higher.)

--------
This is the line--anything above is great and I wish I could afford to own them all. Anything below is good, just not something I wished I owned.

6) BWV - Something about the atmosphere that I don't really like.

7) HHI - I'd love to go sometime but I generally think of DVC as giving me better disney vacations and HH wouldn't allow any 11 month reservations on site. If I lived closer then it might be a good choice for brief, regular vacations but we are just too far away.

8) VB - Just not terribly interested. Plus, MFs are too high.

To me HHI is a like my favorite ice cream on a hot day or my favorite soup on a cold day, its a comfort place. :sunny:

WDW is like eating something new and different each every time we visit. Sometimes we really enjoy it and sometimes we go man that was not fun. But we like it all the same for being different and exciting. :yay:

Two entirely different places. :thumbsup2

I love how you put it!
HHi is in a different category-but let's not tell everyone! It seems they are all goin to the BWV or BCV. shhh!

I really can't rank HHI and VBw/ the onsite resorts because as Sammie said it is a totally different experience. If I had to I think I would put HHI first.
so
1. HHI
2. VWL
3. OKW
4. BCV
5. BWv
6. SSR
7. VB
My choices are more horizontal in ranking.
I love them all, for different reasons. If I couldn't stay at one and had to stay at another, I would be very happy.

1. VWL
2. OKW
3. HH
4. BCV
5. SSR
6. BWV
7. VB

Actually, as long as I'm at WDW and not at home, I'm happy:yay: :yay:

1. BCV (where we own, proximity to Epcot WS, SAB)
2. OKW (original, big rooms, quiet)
3. VWL (the theming is amazing - the reason we checked out DVC)
4. BWV (proximity to Epcot, BW)
5. SSR (needs time to mature, nice proximity to DTD)
6. HHI
7. VB

As ppl on this board say all the time, buy where you want to stay. Well we prefer to stay at BCV. Everytime that I call, I always request BCV, but fortunately for us, it is usually booked, therefore we get the benefit of experiencing a new resort.

I ranked HHI in front of VB, because we will more than likely try Hilton Head at some point. I can't say the same for Vero Beach.

1. BWV
2. VWL
3. BCV
4. SSR
5. OKW
6. VB
7. HHI

Our preference is BWV but don't mind staying at any of the WDW DVC resorts.

This isn't really a fair or objective assessment, but it's our best guess based on what we know

1. BCV (Location & SAB)
2. SSR (Atmosphere, Location & Spa)
3. OKW (Atmosphere - we like laidback for atmosphere)
4. BWV (Location)
5. VWL (Beautiful but too similar to home for vacation)
6. VBR (Offsite but we've heard good things)
7. HHI (Offsite and we know very little about it)

(1) BWV & BCV - Location & dining
(2) VWL – Theme & best boat transportation to surrounding areas. Moves to #1 when Christmas decorations are up
(3) AKL – Theme
(4) OKW – Room size
(5) HHI – Great marina atmosphere with beach access. While VB has beach access, HH beach is far better. HH Island also has better restaurants and shopping.
(6) SSR – Duplicate buildings that can be seen from the street don’t appeal to me.
(7) VB – Beach access is great… but the beach area is narrow and very little to do outside the resort.
