What 3 to 4 star non-Disney resort, hotel, or time share property has the best water slide/pool? Want a GREAT pool for family plus really nice resort. Looking for one with a really nice slide hopefully and beautiful grounds so there is a lot to do also on property, (hopefully get a deal also or would just stay on-site).
Thanks for your opinions!

Trying to decide whether to go off-site and (hopefully) 1 get more amenities 2 beat the summer crowds at disney hotels 3 try something different (just did contemporary and polynesian).

Any suggestions for off-site?

Although I did not get to use them, the Portifino Bay and Hard Rock Hotel have nice slides and pools.

The Radison Resort on the parkway had a nice pool and water slide when we stayed there a few years ago.:pinkbounc

Pool was very nice at Radisson Resort Parkway, but I don't remember slide. Then again, my hands were so full with an 11 month old that I my have been too busy to notice.

Marriott Orlando World Center has a lovely, large main pool area, with a nice slide for the kids, waterfalls, a couple of hot tubs, poolside bar/grill service, two other quieter pool areas, small indoor pool, video game room, glass elevators, and golf onsite. If you are looking for villa accommodations (2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, washer/dryer, king MBR w/jacuzzi), there are three timeshare resorts on the MOWC property as well.

Each of those (Royal Palms, Sabal Palms & Imperial Palms) has its own quiet pool area and a free (+tip) shuttle van will bring guests to/from MOWC if you don't care to walk. Very nice. Guests are granted access to MOWC's facilities, restaurants & shops. MOWC is very near Disney, just off the same I-4 exits.

Sunterra Cypress Point resort (another timeshare) is less than a mile from Downtown Disney, with a modest volcano slide (great for young school-aged kids). They have studios as well as 1-3 BR villas.

Isle of Bali (now called Ron Jon) is another timeshare resort, in Kissimmee. They seem to get generally good reviews but some mixed. Their big draw is a mini-water park, Liki Tiki Lagoon, designed for elementary school kids and younger (several slides, water sidewalks & water toys).

Of all of these, I'd prefer MOWC's villas. Hope that helps.

MOWC!!!
This place is awesome. I agree with what the previous poster stated. We will again be staying at the MOWC Imperial Palms this Thanksgiving. They are awesome villas. Large 3 bdrm, washer/dryer etc. For around $250.00
And it is about 5 minutes from EPCOT, just down the road on the other side of the freeway.

Last year we stayed on-site for the first time. And I loved it. We stayed at the WL and the BWV. I would love to do it again but it is so much more expensive than the villas at MOWC. Maybe I can talk my husband in to every other year on-site! ;)
