Rate my Honeymoon ADRs!

Finally got our honeymoon ADRs, and wanted to know what you think!

We're staying at AKL, by the way, and ALL of our reservations are for dinner time... neither of us are into big lunches, and we definitely aren't into breakfast.

Day 1 - Jiko
Day 2 - Coral Reef
Day 3 - Crystal Palace
Day 4 - Whispering Canyon Cafe
Day 5 - Momma Melrose
Day 6 - Le Cellier
Day 7 - Boma
Day 8 - wrapping it all up at CRT!

So... did we do well? Anything you would suggest we change?

Day 3 - Crystal Palacego every year for breakfast
Day 4 - Whispering Canyon Cafe
Day 5 - Momma Melrosewon't be going back--bad service, bad food
Day 6 - Le Celliera must for us every trip
Day 7 - Boma trying breakfast on our next trip (the flavors turn me off for dinner--I'm very fussy)
Day 8 - wrapping it all up at CRT! never done--our boys would NOT go into a castle to eat with princesses if we bribed them (okay, maybe if I had bribed them).

So... did we do well? Anything you would suggest we change?

Looks great except we will never go back to Mama Melrose. I ordered the Penne w/ Vodka sauce and I swear it was maranara sauce with 10lbs of salt. The food was horrible.

My favorite place that you are going is Jiko - so I guess from my perspective you are doing the best first instead of saving the best for last. Nothing wrong with that though! I am a CP fan, and WCC is pretty fun and has pretty good food - not easy to get to from AKL unless you are driving though. Coral Reef gets lots of bad reviews - i personally haven't tried it though. Le Cellier is good, not great IMO, but worth eating at. I LOVE Boma for a buffet dinner - good wine there too. I like the ADRs - I guess if I was making changes I might change out MM for either Brown Derby if you want to be in DHS or Il Mulino if you want Italian. Or maybe pick a place along the Boardwalk and then head back to DHS if that was the plan.

I think you've got some great ADR's ! Remember, one person's opinion is totally differant from yours. I've gone to several places that others have given not so wonderful reviews on and have totally loved it. Personally, I've never done Jiko, Coral Reef (although we are considering for one of our honeymoon ADR's in September ) or Boma. We went to Mama Melrose's 12/07 when we got engaged and had a wonderful meal. The waitress was very attentive and when she discovered we were celebrating an engagement, she brought us both a free glass of wine to celebrate the occasion!
We went to Boma a few years ago and had another excellent meal. The same with Whispering Canyon....just be prepared for a crazy time there!

I think you should just go with what you've planned and totally enjoy yourselves Congrats on the upcoming nuptuals!

We haven't tried Coral Reef, but all the others are ones we go to over and over again. You did good!!! Congratulations

I have only done Mama Melrose and didn't care for it at all -- if you are doing it for the Fantasmic Dinner package, I heard great things about Hollywood and Vine! I will be going to Coral Reef for my 10th anniversary on May 12th and Boma our first nite in Disney in just 11 more days! Have a great time but I would suggest Chef Mickey for Breakfast -- I LOVE IT THERE -- I am also a big fan of Tusker House for a character meal too -- and we are doing Sci Fi Dinner theater this year because we have heard great things about it -- Congrats and have the best time ever!

I haven't been to all of those restaurants, but you did pick two of my favorites--CP and CRT. I think that it's great to end with CRT! I think you'll love it. Congratulations!

Just wondering if Jiko and Boma are similar to each other? If so, maybe you'd want to change out one of those.

Day 1 - Jiko - Ate there in January and it was a fantastic meal. The thing I appreciate most is the pacing of the meal which allows for you to savor everything. Try their African wines while you are there.
Day 2 - Coral Reef - Last ate there in 2007 but it was really good. I love seafood and so does my daughter and we were both thrilled. My DH got a steak and said it was okay but not exceptional.
Day 3 - Crystal Palace - Great buffet with a HUGE selection which is refreshing.
Day 4 - Whispering Canyon Cafe - Loved the skillet, the ambiance and fun.
Day 5 - Momma Melrose - Only one on your list I haven't done. We're scheduled to go next week.
Day 6 - Le Cellier - Eat here almost every trip which I think is a good testimony for the food. I love the mushroom fillet.
Day 7 - Boma - Loved eating there and it was really convenient when we stayed at AKL. I hope you have any adventerous pallet.
Day 8 - wrapping it all up at CRT! - Never have done this for dinner but it's really all about the atmosphere and bragging rights. Although our breakfast was good so hopefully your dinner will be too.
