Ratatouille?

Anyone experience the new version of Ratatouille? Is it a better show or a downgrade? I loved the 3-D version and hoping I love the 2-D version as well.

I haven't yet but am looking forward to it. I found the 3D version rather blurry.

I read one review that seemed to generally conisder it to be a downgrade - less immersive. It did say though that the video appeared sharper and brighter. I guess it's a give and take.

Ya. I have a feeling though it won't be the same for me. But I will have to try it out first.

Since I suffer from motion sickness I needed to take off my glasses when riding. Hoping I won't have to do that now.

I was under the impression, and i could of sworn i read, that they would be adding in new physical set pieces to make up for the loss of 3d. But from the sound of things, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Yes but it is over an undetermined timeline:

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will experience a short downtime Nov. 10-13, 2025 and will return with enhanced digital visuals and clearer imagery projected in 2D. Remy’s fans will spot new props and lighting enhancements when they are added to the queue and attraction over the next few months.

My son went on it Friday. He was surprised by the change. I hadn’t told him it was changing. He said it was good.

I can't see how that would work if they've taken out the 3D film elements.

Watching a 2D movie with 3D glasses will not make the movie 3D. It would be a waste of money to purchase glasses to take with you.

Unpopular opinion, but I think this ride was underwhelming to begin with. I like it, and will
Rope drop or get a LL for it, but I would never wait more than say 30 minutes for it. I always wonder if those people waiting 110 minutes in standby feel it’s worth it when they get off the ride. Now that it’s in 2D it even has less appeal to me!

This is another case where WDW could not win. They were getting a lot of feedback from guests that they were experience motion sickness and they also wanted to improve the visual clarity of the ride projections. Sometimes they just cant win!!
